  1. In the initial EQ screen, once you have set up your desired adjustments tap on the three-dots menu icon and select 'Save/Assign'. You can auto-assign the Preset for specific output modes, or for specific songs/albums/folders/etc, but in your case you'll probably want to leave all of those extra boxes unticked and just enter a descriptive name and tap 'Save'. You'll then see your newly saved item in the Presets list. You can use the buttons at the top of the list to limit what is shown (if you only want to see certain types of preset in general use). 2. It's currently pretty high up in the Feature voting list, so hopefully it might come sooner rather than later. You can add your vote here: Andre
  3. Sounds like you've figured it out, but basically streaming radio stations are identified by a web address (URL) that broadcasts the content via a "shoutcast" style stream. That direct URL can either be entered into the 'Add URL' option in the Streams menu, or it can be included as an entry in a local M3U (or PLS) playlist file in a music storage folder on your device. So for example a valid individual stream URL might look something like: http://media-ice.musicradio.com:80/HeartWestMids While a playlist (M3U) file might contain several such URLs which have been grouped together for easy access - possibly with display titles if desired: #EXTM3U #EXTINF:0,Heart - West Midlands http://media-ice.musicradio.com:80/HeartWestMids #EXTINF:0,Greatest Hits Radio National http://edge-bauerall-01-gos2.sharp-stream.com/net2national.mp3?aw_0_1st.skey=1691534114 Andre
  4. At the end of the day, as with all personal equalization settings, it's what sounds best to you that is more important than creating a completely flat curve (which is what the various downloaded profiles tend to aim for). Andre
  5. You might find that an EQ profile for a similar set of headphones from the same company might be a good starting point - but even within one company, the response curves for different styles and price-ranges of headphone will vary tremendously. Andre
  6. Have a hunt around online for "milkdrop" preset files. That's the format that Poweramp and the PA-EQ use for the Visualization effects. Andre
  7. @slizzap No, tap on the top item. "Resize Waveseek" is a link to a submenu, not just a header description. Had me fooled a while back too, not sure why it needs to be another layer of submenu with just two items in it. Andre
  8. You will need an internet connection for the "Verified and Stored" status, so best to leave it connected until that occurs. But if it drops and reconnects, or device reboots in the meantime, shouldn't be a problem. Andre
  9. It may be that DVC is not functioning with high-res in your case, which can happen with some phone ROMs. It can also be dependent on the USB DAC itself - they are very definitely not all made equal; the Chi-Fi CX31993 or CS46L41 based units run rings around most of the ones on Amazon in my vicinity (such as Samsung's own adapter, which is terrible). In some cases, you may prefer to use AAudio or AudioTrack outputs (which do support higher sample rates and bit depths on more recent Android ROMs). For example on my Samsung galaxy A54, the Experimental High-Res mode does not work at all, but AAudio is fine at 192kHz/24-bit with a CX31993-based adapter. Andre
  10. I just had a little look, and I can't see how to adjust the width of the waveseek bars independently for Landscape and Portrait views. If I change the width, the Portrait version changes but the Landscape does not. Not sure if I missed something though. Andre
  11. The easiest thing would be to clear the log, then do the BT connection or whatever action causes the issue. Not so much in the log to wade through that way. Andre
  12. @mporcas I can't see anything in that log that should be affecting Shuffle/Repeat status. @maxmp might be able to comment further though. I think what is usually the culprit is this sort of thing: Andre
  13. @Matt Gertz You can get the latest Poweramp beta builds from the Download tab at the top of the page. Currently build 981 is the latest: This may allow you to fix your issue, but a number of users have reported that it is still happening with their Android 14 variants even with the new 'ignore' option enabled. Max is planning to add a better workaround in the next release. Andre
  14. I don't think you mean the "mini player" (which is the little panel of current playback controls shown at the bottom of Poweramp's Library Category lists). Your screenshots show the Android Player / Media Notification panel, which is seen when you drag down from the top of the screen. Status Bar Notification formatting (just like Lock Screen and the Android Auto display, etc) is controlled by Android rather than the playback app. Poweramp does in fact provide the Album name, should Android wish to display it. For example, on Samsung Android 11, the initial and expanded panels looked like this: And same song playing in Samsung Android 14: If you don't like the default style as defined by the latest Android version on your new phone, you could try forcing one of the older legacy Notification formats, as they used to show the album name rather than just its artwork. See PA Settings=>Look and Feel=>Notifactions=>Notification Type . They don't always look very good with newer ROMs though, as they were not designed for them. e.g. 'Legacy' as displayed on an Android 14 phone: Andre
  15. @justme2 what has Winamp got to do with this? Poweramp does not generate lyrics at all, it needs to find them from the playing audio file, from a companion LRC file, or from an external online source (see my post about three comments back in this thread). Andre
  16. I would suggest turning all battery / power optimisations off for Poweramp and/or Poweramp EQ. Andre
  17. @Vache Yes, it makes for a handy way to change the playback Category (switching from a Recent song to the Album it came from for example) without interrupting the currently playing song. Andre
  18. First, avoid trying to grant access permissions to overall root locations. That is specifically forbidden when using Android's Storage Access Framework for the device's internal user storage and SD Cards, but even if it is permitted for USB mounted storage (which it seems to be treating as a folder within its overall file system) it's probably not a good idea. Instead, grant access to one or more specific folders, and store everything else as subfolders within that. In general terms though, if you enable access to a top level folder (or in this case, a master USB location) then everything else within that will be enabled too - i.e. all files and subfolders. However if you later disable even a single subfolder, the overall folder has to be disabled as it is no longer fully selected, and each activated subfolder is enabled instead. Thus any files stored at the top level of the master folder will no longer the picked up as the master folder is not selected for access. I got caught out by that logic myself a while ago when configuring the backup regime on my NAS drive: I could easily backup an entire volume (which caught all files and subfolders on the volume too) but if I disabled even a single folder within the volume, the volume itself was not considered as a backup source, only the selected folders - and crucially not any files stored at the root level of that volume. If you want the root files scanned, the whole volume has to be selected. So in this case, just put your M3U files into a 'Folder 4', and enable that for scanning too. Andre
  19. @flyingdutchman Yes, the required changes in the Luminous skin appear to need the Poweramp SDK to be updated, which won't happen until the 981 versions go from beta into stable release. For now, either rolling back to PA 976 or using a different skin will fix the issue. Andre
  20. Have you tried adjusting the Notification type and settings in PA Settings=>Look and Feel=>Notifications? I would suggest using Auto normally. Also check PA Settings=>Album Art=>Always Send Album Art. When you say the artwork disappears, does the shading remain or does it just have a plain white background? On Android 14, it should normally look like this: Or when in minimised state: Andre
  21. I think a lot of people just use the forums for Support, to ask a question or report a bug, but they often don't then hang around afterwards to chat further once their issue has been addressed. We have about 95,000 registered users here, but only a small proportion actively post. There is also a Facebook Chat Group , but that seems to mostly consist of, in roughly equal measures, people asking for the best equalizer settings, people showing off their own Player Screens (for some reason), and people asking what skin the second lot are using and can they have a free copy. Andre
  22. You can configure whether the Folders link in that pop-up menu goes to the 'Folders' or 'Folders Hierarchy' views by using PA Settings=>Look and Feel=>Player Screen=>'Navigate to the Folders'. By default it is set to Off, which means the link takes you to 'Folders Hierarchy', but if you enable that setting it will go to 'Folders' view instead. Remember that simply viewing a new category using those four links does not change the existing playback mode though - so even though you are now viewing a Folders Hierarchy songs list, playback will continue using the existing order as defined in (for example) the Recently Added category. If you tap on the currently playing song, playback will continue using the new Category order (to avoid the song being started again from the beginning, disable the option PA Settings=>Library=>Lists=>Click Restarts Track). Andre
  23. Tapping on the cover artwork area is intended to always show you the song you are listening to in its "currently playing" category order. So if you had started playing from the 'Recently Added' view, that is the Category which you will be taken back to when you tap on the cover. From there you can see the next and other forthcoming songs in their playback order. If you wish to be taken straight to the Library overview, or to your chosen default Home Library Category (for example, my default is set to 'Folders Hierarchy') just tap on the Library icon instead: Additionally, you can also long-press on the cover art area (or alternatively tap on the three-dots menu icon) to see the currently playing song within a different category, in case you perhaps want to choose a new song from the same Album, Folder, Genre, etc. If you do tap on a new song from the selected list, that will become the currently playing song and the viewed Category will be used to control the upcoming songs sequence. Andre
  24. You can set the default view shown when you tap the Library icon. From the top-level Library view, tap the three-dots menu, select List Options, and long-press on the Category that you wish to use as the default. (This choice can later be overridden by long-pressing on the Library icon rather than just tapping). But from the Player Screen, tapping on the album artwork area will always take you to the current playback category list (e.g. back to Recently Played if that's the category you manually launched playback from).
