  1. In case anyone doesn't spot the post, there's a new alpha test http://forum.powerampapp.com/index.php?/topic/8494-poweramp-alpha-build-700/ of PA v3 out now - but keep a backup of your current system, this is an ALPHA development test, not even beta test yet. Andre
  2. The releases here are a short-term beta test, before they are released in the Android marketplace. Andre
  3. The third-party app New Playlist Manager from forum regular Theoklink apparently now does this, it can write ratings that you have created in Poweramp back into the original music file. PA still can't read or write the tags directly though, it's been on the feature 'to do' list for more than four years, so hopefully soon now! Andre
  4. You could use the Get Support feature in the app, and then click on the Menu button to see the "Contact" option. Or just email poweramp.maxmpz(at)gmail.com. Andre
  5. Have you tried turning off the Android Action Bar and using Poweramp's skinned menus instead? (if your phone does not have a physical menu button it might also be an idea to tick the "Show Menu Icon" item too, to force that button). Andre
  6. There isn't an iphone version, and one is not planned as far as I know. Andre
  7. Must be a Lollipop related issue as it works fine on my KitKat Note 3. So you're both saying that you can't use Poweramp's menu settings to disable the Android Action bar, yes? Can you untick it but nothing happens, or does it not let you even uncheck that option in Settings > Look and Feel > Menus ? Andre
  8. Thanks for the input. I'm sure Max will be testing and modifying Poweramp to work with Android M by the time it at least gets a name [i'm hoping for "Marshmallow", although "Mint Cream" would be nice too] Andre
  9. The following reply was posted on Twitter (From @PowerampApp) on the subject of streaming services in general, though I'm not sure whether it includes output streaming or just playback sources: Andre
  10. Have you tried what I suggested (i.e. reduce the pre-amp gain to allow more digital headroom for you to ramp up the bass)? Andre
  11. Yes, it's fine (and you'll still get future automatic updates from Google even after installing a website downloaded version). Andre
  12. Just update manually in the meantime if you want, using the version in the first post of this thread. Andre
  13. I suspect your MP3s are already encoded at 100% digital level, which means if you try to boost any of the frequencies still further (i.e. they try to go over 100%) you will get distortion. Try using the pre-amp control within the equaliser to lower the initial gain a bit, to allow enough headroom to boost the low-end without it clipping. Andre
  14. Have you got the tone controls activated? You can enable/disable the Equaliser, Tone knobs, and Limiter independently of each other (tap each label to turn them on/off). Andre
  15. It doesn't auto-play for me when I start the app; it remembers where I last got to, but opens in the Player screen with playback set ready to resume there when I press the Play button. You don't have the 'Resume on Start' option selected do you? (in Settings > Audio > Audio Focus) Andre
  16. I must admit that would be a lot more user-intuitive compared to real-world bass/treble controls. Also, it would be nice if the balance control panned fully to 100% left or 100% right (at present it just attenuates a bit). Andre
  17. I've not been given any firm dates for even alpha testing as yet, sorry. Max, is there anything you can tell the eager folks yet? Andre
  18. Actually that changes the default startup screen, but you're right that it has the side-effect of the 'Back' button taking you to that screen first, before tapping back again to exit the app. Andre
  19. You have already reported this elsewhere (if it's the same issue with USB ports on your car stereo). See answer in other thread. Andre
  20. Version 3.0 has not been released yet, it's not even in alpha testing yet. Andre
  21. I've been asking for ages for a few different feature options for the up/down and left/right album art swipe actions. Currently it's just an on/off toggle for track changing and list changing, both of which have perfectly good buttons in the main control area already so are just duplications of exiting functionality. I'd suggest up/down and left/right be selectable from a few options, including: Volume control Skip by user-selectable periods (e.g. to allow 10 seconds forward/backward for left/right swipes, and 60 seconds moves for up/down) Track change (next/previous track) List change (e.g. next/previous album or folder) I'm sure there are other possibilities too, maybe a better (incremental-movement) timeline scrub feature? Andre
  22. Max, please could you re-upload the rest of the content of the first post in this thread from your local copy, as the online version appears to have a mass of embedded HTML. Thanks. I've done a quick tidy to make the current version more easily visible and downloadable for users, but I don't want to lose any of your older content. Andre
