Hi-res output is just works fine in MIUI 8.5 android 6 in my redmi note 4x snapdragon

after updating to MIUI 9 and android 7 Hi-res output is Failed and won't work

Poweramp Alpha 704

how resolve it?

Was having the same issue, got it working with Redmi Note 4 snapdragon (mido) on MIUI 9 Nougat after researching a bit
and found out that you should edit build prop and change this:

ro.product.manufacturer=samsung

and add this line:

persist.audio.uhqa=1

Hi res output works flawlessly, but it will say that it use Samsung UHQA DAC.

Also got it working on my Meizu Pro 5 with beta nougat firmware 6.8.1.8A, although the app purchase sync was broken and it will eventually showed that the license have expired.

Now, do make an AudioFlinger log dump. I am more than certain you'll find PA playing into the primary thread, while being submixed at 16/48.

From audio_policy looks like it supports hi-res. Granted, some devices have config OK, but no hi-res audio, but for meizus it's usually working (work for all my meizu test devices on snapdragons 600+ or MTKs).

Hey  @maxmp I've got a question.  im using Sony xperia Z5 and i just check from GSM arena that my phone can play 24bit/192 Khz audio. But my output in Wired Hi-Res output only samples at 96 khz. Just want to clarify is it a software or just a mistske from gsm arena. And  in terms of better output quality, OpenSL ES HD vs Hi-Res output? Thanks

Wanna check that my device support hi-res, but don't know how.

Semyon, what's your device?

HUAWEI P10.

Found in old disks "The_Doors_-_Riders_On_The_Storm_96-24.ape" with

96 kHz, 1924 kbps, 24 bit.

Seems player play it with HD OUT.

Just playing it - it mean it works ?
