I would try this if I had Oreo on my T-Mobile S7 Edge but they are taking forever to give the update to us. So I am stuck on Nougat for a long time.

Looks and functions great, at this point it works just as well (maybe even better) than the original Poweramp notification, but would it be possible to make the notification black?

Hi, thank you so much for developing this, but I have an error: "there was a problem parsing this package" I'm on a Galaxy Note8, 7.1.1.

You shouldn't need it on 7.1.1 as far as I know, this app was developed to fix a problem encountered on Android Oreo 8.1.

@Aero.mero, yes, I planned this and some others UI polishing.

@NewBuildWhen, you've a problem with the notification on 7.1.1? This app developed only for Android Oreo 8+.

I just signed up for a forum account to download this app, this 8.1 glitch has been annoying me for months.

Thank you so much for the effort. I hope the new version of Poweramp comes soon and this won't be a problem. Cheers!

Oh sorry! I wanted to have the new notification style and didn't read the "Oreo" part. Have a good day.

Thanks for this @clever_man, however there's no cover art on lockscreen anymore and it would be nice to have it; also, what about custom background/foreground colours based on cover art?

I second this. I never really cared for the Android lockscreen album art, but since I installed LineageOS, I kinda want the lockscreen to display album art when using the notification helper.

It would be cool if the color of the notification would change with the art just as it does in most modern music players such as spotify or shuttle. I believe they use the Pallete API..

Suggestions aside, the only problem I found is that non rectangular album art images get uglily stretched.

Can you take a screenshot?

Sure,

the art on the player app itself -  https://photos.app.goo.gl/BjKg0VLQcMXEckz02

how it was supposed to or could look like - https://photos.app.goo.gl/5PiJWTw8g2JqfF072

how it looks like - https://photos.app.goo.gl/rKgVfkzvBiFcJflB3

In addition to that, I'd like to add that the art is not being shown on the lockscreen background (I keeped the default notification from the player activated to have it, that's why you can see it on the last screenshot)

Thanks!

@_Yank, I couldn't control album art on the default widget style - it's controlled by the system directly. I will try to read source code but I nothing promise.
