wormant1
Poweramp build 877 My phone is Vivo Nex 3S 5G, running Android 10 stock. It has a hi-fi DAC which is not compatible with the high-res output. For builds prior to 860, selecting high-res output will activate the DAC but unable to play. The current build does not activate the hi-fi DAC at all if hi-res output is selected. However, both OpenSL and AudioTrack outputs can activate the DAC and play without issue. Unfortunately both outputs locks the sample rate at 48 kHz which is less than ideal. andrewilley
Have you tried disabling or enabling DVC mode in the Output screen? Are you using the normal headphone output, or a separate connection?
wormant1
@andrewilley Yes I have tried switching DVC on and off, no luck. I think the issue is Android 10 itself. My previous device is a Vivo X21a running Android 9 and there's no problem.
andrewilley
Could you try doing a Restore Defaults in the Settings > Audio > Output menu? That's sometimes needed after a major Android version update. Andre

The phone runs Android 10 out of the box, and Poweramp is a fresh install
