  1. Hi everyone! I am currently using a Shanling UA2 DAC with Poweramp, and I was asking if Poweramp team could think of a setting that automatically sets the sampling rates depending on the audio file that is played... It is a bit overkill oversampling to 384 kHz when your next music is 44 kHz and the previous one 384 kHz... The oversampling of "low" files lowers the quality... That could be great if the settings could change automatically, without having to modify oneself. Also, I encountered a problem : could not use 88 kHz, whereas my file was in 88 kHz 24 bits... I had to use 96 kHz to make it work... Not really optimum... :/ Thanks a lot for your answers
  2. Hello, First my device, Huawei Nova 5T. Recently I bought a USB DAC SoundBlaster G3, after my 32bit/384KHZ USB-C to jack 3.5mm cable passed away... But the new DAC supposed to play at 24bit/96khz... so... when I plug y my cellphone its locked at 16bit/48khz. What happened, if before plays perfectly with a 3$ USD cable but now with a 50$ DAC is impossible to play a better sample at 16bit/48khz? I tried all the outputs and configs, Open SL ES, Hi-Res Open SE, AudioTrack, AAudio.... Float32 Sample... and not works... (The DAC is OK, works perfectly on my PC) Pls help
  3. Hi everybody. I couldn't find any proper answer to this. I have Shanling M6 pro DAC and I am not really shure what's the proper setting of the HiRes output on Poweramp for this. Recently I have noticed some Direct HD option showing up on the HiRes settings. Any idea ? How to achieve the best (bitperfect like) setting on Poweramp ? What I am doing now : It says : variant Direct HD Output Set to HiRes and fixed 192kHz and all setting below are set to off (no EQ, no DV, No Headroom, ...) Dither : None Thanks a lot !
  4. PA build 884 Vivo NEX 3S 5G Android 10 iBasso DC02 when playing audio through USB-C the audio pans to the left (off-balance by about -0.1). can be fixed using iBasso UAC app
  5. Hello, I'd been using Poweramp for a long time before I discovered "Audio Info" section in the settings. I was quite surprised to see that my 96KHz source audio gets resampled down to 44.1 to be later passed to 96KHz output. I'm using Google Pixel 3a with stock Android + Poweramp (v3-build-882-arm64-play) + EarStudio ES100 MK2 (2.0.2). Any clues why resampler kicks in here?
  6. Poweramp build 877 My phone is Vivo Nex 3S 5G, running Android 10 stock. It has a hi-fi DAC which is not compatible with the high-res output. For builds prior to 860, selecting high-res output will activate the DAC but unable to play. The current build does not activate the hi-fi DAC at all if hi-res output is selected. However, both OpenSL and AudioTrack outputs can activate the DAC and play without issue. Unfortunately both outputs locks the sample rate at 48 kHz which is less than ideal.
  7. Hi everyone, long term Poweramp user here. I'm currently owning a LG V30 (Stock Pie) which is supposed to have a great quality audio output thanks to it's DAC, but I have a low hissing noise occuring during playback through the headphone jack. I suspected for a long time a hardware issue : all apps are subject to it (using default Android drivers or not), as well as all the headphones I tested, all files quality are subject to it (tested from crappy 128kbps MP3 to vinyl ripped in 96kHz/24bit FLAC), no "force hi res" mod works and nobody is complaining about a similar issue on the V30 threads and forums. Activating my internal Quad DAC (or DTS/Dolby/system equalizer/...) seem to increase the noise, but I'm not sure it's anything other than placebo at this point. However, Poweramp HiRes output option literally nukes this noise. I assume there's nothing gain related, as I always compare at equivalent volume. A very (very) low noise can be heard but it's for very high volume level. When I activate DVC or chose any other output option, the noise is back. And the Quad DAC doesn't generate noise at all ! I can't use any external effects without having the noise back. My question is : How does Poweramp HiRes driver works ? From my point of view, this situation is a complete nonsense, but I probably lack a lot of knowledge and would be glad to understand more about it. Finally, is there way to mod my device so I can replicate the work of Poweramp HiRes driver ? I have root and I'm not fearing bootloops, and I really want to understand more about Android audio (and also enjoy good audio at low volume for every sources).
  8. Hello! Just purchased Poweramp full version (v3 latest build) via the web-site for my Fiio M11 Pro. I must admit, it’s a fantastic music player app and it really outperforms the pre-installed Filo music player app by far. Well done! Amongst many things, I like the detailed view of the digital process chain of the Poweramp music player. However, I noticed, after the first Decoder step, a lot of processing is taking place. In total three more processing steps: -A Resampler -DSP -And finally an output step So a lot of resampling and increasing and decreasing of bit depth is taking place. Sometimes this makes sense, but sometimes it seems to be a lot of additional handling. My question therefor is: Wouldn’t it be possible to establish a 'straight put through' option, so that e.g. High-Res FLAC files with 96kHz and 24bit depth go straight to the output DAC of the device, unchanged, no resampling, no bit depth change, etc. Looking forward to hear from you folks! Linus
  9. hi guys, i have an issue right here with my Poweramp. sometimes when I connect my DAC and play with random music on the background process, it start to pause and play by automatically.. but when I try to play music with spotify, the music itself still playing without interrupted by task killer or whatever it is. my device is Realme 5 Pro, pair with BGVP T01, Android 9
  10. Hi.. im using a 32bit 384khz usb DAC. Before the update when connected it show the right output but now it only show 24bit..why? Pls can anybody explain why? tq! Device Oneplus 6 (Android 10.3.0)
  11. LG Flagship phones have Buildin 32 bit Quad DAC. I have LG G7+ ThinQ. I wanna know that Poweramp uses the device's dac? In my hi-Res audio output it's showed simple format: 24bit. Poweramp still downsample?
