You can add your own Title via the naming feature if you create the stream via an M3U playlist, but that wording will be overridden if the radio station broadcasts its own song information. I do agree that is not always ideal though, as those old song details will no longer be relevant but are still remembered and displayed in the Category List instead of the actual station details. No, sorry, there's no way to add information or detailed notes about Bookmarked items. I think the original concept was just to remember and restore a particular song at a specific position, not to annotate multiple songs with various comments in the same way that you might use post-it notes to mark various pages in a book. hello there I'm not talking about modifying track tags. For example, I bookmarked the timestamp where the lyric 'hello' appears. Then, the bookmark list only shows the values of the tag fields, such as track number, title, artist, and album, according to the existing list settings. Therefore, it becomes difficult to find the desired item when there are multiple bookmark items or when different timestamps are bookmarked on the same track. Is there a function to add a bookmark name or description when adding a bookmark or after adding it? I think it would be really convenient if the bookmark description was displayed along with the tag field value of the track in the bookmark list. Is there a menu or option related to this that I'm missing? thank you

Managed to add a few streams which is 👍 I'd like to add my own title as well as the generated one.

When I say they give me the same response it mean all they response with is how to enable dump permissions which has nothing to do with why. Totally different then asking the same question

The problem is that there are hundreds of minor feature requests, and only one developer. I don't think crossfade has been revisited much since it was first introduced to the app in fact. There are some feature requests that date back even longer though. A-B Repeat is close to its 14th birthday by now - although hopefully that might be considered as part of the Player Screen interface customisation options? Andre

Thanks for that perspective and I do appreciate it, but with that being said, I purchased Poweramp around 2012 and jumped on these forums relatively quickly in regards to this question and it's hardly even been addressed...which I find strange. While it is technically possible for LRC data to by synced down to the individual word, it's pretty rare outside of karaoke content. Timecode data is normally supplied for the whole line only. The current line is highlighted as brighter/larger text in Poweramp. If your LRC data does contain individual word info, it will not be processed by Poweramp as it is not intended to be a karaoke machine. Here's a theoretical example from the LRC wiki, which is pretty close to being an unofficial spec. The timecodes shown in <> brackets will be ignored, so for example at 00:06.47 the simple text "And all the joy within you dies " would be highlit. well it would be really cool if we could change the colour of a word or a sentence in a synced lrc it would probably the most unique thing

Is not a feature of the core app, but the lyric text colour is skinable, which some skins support (e.g. I know YAPS can do it). Andre

Thanks for your reply andrewilley The way it sounded is as if the CPU was at 100% or the buffer was full for processing the audio from the Carlink, but as you mentioned, the playback never stopped. I tried closing all the apps open in the background "there were only 2" and cleaning residual memory, but it didn't help. I have formatted it to exFAT and so far it seems to be working well, it sounds clear and fluid with the passage of tracks. Another possible cause that I have in mind is the "madeAli" TFCard and if it fails again I will replace it with something branded. I will comment on the progress and any ideas will be well received.

well I want to know if this is possible to change the colour of the lrc text I know it may need a whole different code or smth but I really need to know if it's possible and if it ever has been made or realised

I am having same issue. Casts but will not play. Did successfully cast once. But now displays image in photo with no audio or indication it's playing on phone. Build 970. Did have 976 but rolled back due to forum advice. Samsung Galaxy 22 Ultra Android 14

Max was indicating that this sort of change would most likely be made the next time he's working in that area of the app's code, not as a special specific job. How soon that might be is a rather flexible term though, other work may take priority and push into many months or possibly years. Andre

Most Android devices cannot properly handle NTFS drives. Some can read them, but very few can write. Stick with exFat, it's plenty fast enough. It's possible your drive's file system had become damaged and reformat has resolved that, but it's unusual for such issues to result in poor sound quality - files either play or they don't (or possibly they skip badly). Greetings to all from Spain. As the title says, I have a Carlinkit on my new MG4, I acquired the Poweramp license and installed it, then I started copying audio albums, about 1600 tracks, mostly in mp3. Everything went well at first, very fluid and good audio quality, but after weeks of use and I don't know if it was due to the installation of a SIM "Internet/calls", the audio started to sound bad. I got very low tones or alternating and meaningless highs with distorted voices. I started checking parameters and even restoring them to default but without results. Today I decided to format the 64GB TFcard to NTFS since I read in this forum that the transmission rate is higher. I work on copying the tracks, I was surprised that it is not recognized and I have started passing the tracks in exFat format again. Now I hear it perfectly but I don't know what the reason could have been or how long it will last, any advice is welcome. I think the Carlinkit can go a little fair although it is an Android 13 Qualcomm's QCM6125, Quad-core ARM Cortex™-A73,2.0GHz 8GB LPDDR4 RAM+128GB UFS ROM. Thank you very much in advance.

From what I've read I figured that was the case. I'm aware there's a link earlier on explaining how PA selects the image it decides to use for the artist, however in practice there's nothing I can really do to influence this behaviour, unless anyone knows different. It's deffo more of a niggle than a problem for me, hence my reluctance to spend time creating a folder full of album art that I then manually assign to the album artist list, but very interested if anyone has come up with a workaround.

Afaik, there is no way to manually choose a track's embedded album art as the artist image.

Hey, had a search about in the forum and this seems like the closest match to the issue I'm having getting PA to work the way that I want. I'm in the same boat as taxen23 was in that I can follow what you're saying to do in the UI with regard to changing the artwork, but there's no 3 dots menu to access any further options. All I get is the ability to select an image online or a local image. (The latter which I don't have and don't really want to have to go downloading / extracting duplicate copies of album art that I already have embedded) I don't know whether its a recent Android change which restricts access to the cached artwork files mentioned earlier in this thread, but that option certainly doesn't seem available to me. All I want to achieve is the ability to choose an artist image (visible in artist and album artist lists) from the album covers which are embedded in the .mp3 files. Typically I just want to be able to set the album artists' earliest album as their artist image as this will be the most memorable for me to allow for quick browsing. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

It does sound like this is an issue with HyperOS. Perhaps their latest update is not supporting the DUMP permission? I assume you've all tried uninstalling the PA EQ app and reinstalling it, and then running the ADB DUMP process again? It is a slightly hacky workaround to be fair, the real answer is that apps should announce the fact that they are playing audio and that other apps are permitted to access it for making adjustments. Very few app developers seem to add those simple two lines of code into their players though (in Poweramp it's user-configurable, controlled via the 'MusicFX' button), hence the DUMP permission hack which tells Android it can override what the audio player app is saying (or not saying). I have AA on a Motorola that works with google voice in both my 2010 Mustang (old SYNC) and in my new 23 Maverick. Hands free Google voice works great in these two Fords. I have a new C8 and cannot get Poweramp to use google voice commands. The music plays on my car through my phone and I can use the hand controls to advance ot the next tune etc but if I as "Hey Google Play Gimme Shelter by Poweramp" which works on both my Fords with AA I get a response from google that Poweramp needs to be installed??? Installed Where. On my car I cannot install Poweramp on the unit using Play store - not displayed as on option but it is already on my phone. How does this work on other Chevys??

Same here too , I'll already configured dump premission,but audio processing it's not functioning well. Tested on poco m5 with hyperOS too. Please fix it ASAP @maxmp @andrewilley
