Hiding app icon is now possible in Android 10+

As we knew, hiding app icon was no longer possible in Android 10+. I was talking about it with my friend Xinto on Discord and he found a way to make this possible. I tested it and oddly enough, it works. It could be related to compilesdkversion being 30. I am just letting @maxmp know here :)

@Someguyonline thanks for the help. Poweramp Unlocker uses code like this to hide icon on Androids 5-9. Unfortunately Google decided that non-system apps should always have launcher icon (in their "security tightening" crusade against developers), so you can just uninstall unlocker in 2 days after install. Thanks!

Well, I don't have unlocker installed at all. Uninstalled it as soon as I got the purchase verified and stored status. And I was thinking of other apps too, unfortunately Google is trying to ruin developers' life.

Hmm, so you are saying it's a play store policy.  If an app removes it's icon even in a non standard way, it's gonna get removed from Play Store, I am assuming.
