sorting Sorting that actually makes sense

By default all lists sorted alphabetically, why? Different content require different type of sorting. No one sorting photographs by size, this makes no sense. Everyone wants their photos be in order they was taken, so best way is sorting them is by date taken. Sorting should be helpfull, not broken and confusing.

1) In «Album» list, when selected sorting by artist, albums from the same artist then sorted alphabetically. This is really confusing if artist has 10+ albums. Albums from the same artist should always be sorted by year. 

How it now:
 Alphabetically -> Alphabetically
 Artist A - A album (2004)
 Artist A - B album (1996)
 Artist B - A album (2006)
 Artist B - B album (1993)
 Artist B - C album (1999)

How it should be:
 Alphabetically -> Year
 Artist A - B album (1996)
 Artist A - A album (2004)
 Artist B - B album (1993)
 Artist B - C album (1999)
 Artist B - A album (2006)

2) Sorting of «All Songs» and «All Artist Songs». Even if this is big lists of songs, it doesn't mean it should be a mess, as it is now. This lists should have grouping of tracks by album, this ways tracks will always will be in order and only albums are sorted, as user selected — by artist or year. (If it's «All Songs» list and selected sorting by artist, then they are should be secondly sorted by year, as i complained hereinabove.)

How it now:
By Year (No grouping)
 A album - A [Track #3] (1967)
 A album - B [Track #1] (1967)
 A album - C [Track #4] (1967)
 A album - D [Track #2] (1967)
 B album - A [Track #2] (1973)
 B album - A [Track #1] (1973)

How it should be:
By Year (Grouping)

They are not (unless you upgrade from v2 where no per category sorting existed, so on upgrade it uses folders/files sorting).

Albums and all sub categories albums are sorted by track by default.

Complaint about sorting alphabetically not answered. Come on, it's basic stuff. If someone for some reason wants to sort albums from same artist alphabetically, don't change this sorting method, add new, "Name -> Year".

So use any of the categories that provides grouping, rather than the specifically named ALL Songs list, which does what it says on the tin.

I do agree that more layering and grouping level to the sort options would be a good long-term goal though, so you could create custom sorts of the form Genre > Artist > Album by Year > Track#.

Personally I mostly use Folder sorting though, as that way I can completely control it for myself by suitably naming my folders and files,, rather than hoping all my music is correctly and neatly tagged (which a lot of it is not).
