  1. An album artist's albums are currently sorted by alphabet. I think you should be able to change that to, for example, sorted by year. I'll attach a quick mockup.
  2. The Poweramp doesn't support sorting songs by Chinese pinyin until now, so that all Chinese songs are classified in # and are random, which makes Chinese users difficult to find a song. Therefore, could you please make Poweramp have the option to sort by Chinese? Thanks! What's more, I think if the LRC lyrics can scroll automatically, it will be better than view as a text. Could you please improve the experience of viewing lyrics?
  3. Hello, I am a music fan from China and purchased for the latest version of Poweramp player. But during my recently using I found something annoying in sorting the music list. Poweramp player can sort English named music files but when it is processing music files which contain CJK characters in the name it cannot be sorted properly …… that is music files which contain CJK characters in the name, was in “#” instead of their correct sequences. For example, I have a music file which is named “梦之雨 piano.ver” and in Chinese the first character is pronounced as “meng”,and it should be in the sequence of “M”, but now I found it in the sequence of “#”. Could this be solved?
  4. Poweramp build: build-905-arm64-play Device model: Xiaomi 6 Android version: 9 Custom ROM: MIUI 10 9.8.1 I've noticed this issue several months and today I'm finally reporting it. As the title describes, tapping on the equalizer preset switcher only locates to the top of the preset list instead of locating to the current active preset, which was working in the past. This issue also persists whether you short press, long press or invoking the quick preset switcher (by long pressing the equalizer button on the bottom bar). At the same time, I've noticed when saving a new equalizer preset will cause itself being separated from the old presets, and being pinned at the top of the list. This issue had happened several times already, mostly after new builds of Poweramp are released. A workaround as a feature request is by adding a button to sort the equalizer preset list. That would make my life, while updating my old presets, much easier. Thanks!
  5. iTunes supports these tags which it uses to sort Artists and Album Artists. That lets you sort an artist like "Sage Francis" by last name, under F, where he should be. So, great to have the option to use such tags for sorting.
  6. Often when I want to play all my songs by an artist, I want to hear them in the order they were released. In other words, I want to hear the 1983 album: track 1, track 2, track 3... followed by the 1985 album: track 1, track 2, track 3... etc. Unfortunately, when I sort All Artist Songs by year, the tracks on each album are sorted alphabetically within each year (album). Listening to an album in alphabetical order is nowhere near as useful as the intended track order, especially for concept albums or albums where songs fade into each other. I think I remember there being a setting that advanced to the next category at the end of the current one, so I could enable that and just press the play button on the artist home page instead of the All Artist Songs page. But my typical behavior with playlists is to restart the playlist when I get to the end, so I don't want that setting enabled globally. It would just be a heck of a lot easier if there were a "sort by album year" option like what I'm describing.
  7. The Artists folder has the option to sort by number of tracks, the Album Artists folder does not
  8. It would be nice to have this option in the Re-Sort playlist option so you can have various albums from multiple artist ordered by year and presented in a organized fashion, useful for long series soundtracks or for a band discography playlist!
  9. Add Artist/Album/Track # Re-Sort option to Playlists. Currently if I want to play Albums 1,2,3 of Artist one in Track Ascending order, then Albums 1,2,3 of Artist 2 ,all in the Track # order I can't. When sorting by Artist/ Album tracks are listed in random order.
  10. Right now when adding an artist to the queue, directly from the artist or album artist list, it will add all songs from all abums in alphabetical order. To me it would make more sense, if it would preserve the song / album order, of the underlying groupings. So that would be adding the songs grouped by album and with the oldest album first when using the album artist view. I don't know if this should be considered a bug or a feature request though.
  11. Some albums have multiple discs. Sorting by track # sorts it so that all songs with the same number but different discs are together, which spoils the order. Enabling sorting by disc-track would solve this. Would also be cool to be able to queue only one disc out of many in a long album.
  12. I would love if Poweramp could sort albums by artist by year because sometimes I enjoy listening to albums chronologically.
  13. I can't see how to sort tracks (songs) in Folders Hierarchy mode only by filename, not by tag name. I have lot of mp3s without tags and I used to sort them by filename - each song filename starts with a proper number. I always played that way without a problem on Mixzing and Winamp. Please make it possible in Poweramp. As I can see, I am not the only one with that problem. I can see that it is possible in All Songs view, but it is NOT in the Folders Hierarchy mode! EDIT: SOLVED - I didn't noticed that I can scroll the menu. Sorry!
  14. So I just recently moved from iPhone to Android and previously on iPhone, since the clean/explicit tag isn't editable, I had been using the sort as name along with "[E]" in the song title to mark them while still sorting alphabetically. However, since Poweramp on sorts by track name and not the "sort as" name all these songs are appearing in one huge block. Any suggestions on how to achieve a similar effect in Poweramp or do I need to ask for a feature request?
  15. Currently when you apply the album sorting the tracks of an album are sorted by title rather than track#. The same happens with the artist/album sorting. I think it would be better that when you sort a playlist by album or artist/album the sorting respects the track# of the songs. So an album that looks like this: 1. Charlie 2. Beta 3. Alpha Will look like that when sorted in a playlist instead of looking like this: 3. Alpha 2. Beta 1. Charlie
  16. These are two separate albums. Poweramp seems to be grouping them together because they are both titled "Beethoven" even though the other details in the CUE file are different.
  17. I'm tempted to but the full version, however I'm missing one feature that is essential for the way I sort music. I want to be able to assign multiple genres to one song. The song would then appear in both the genres lists. As an example, I have a song that consists out of DnB, but there's rap on top of it. I would like to give this song both the genres rap and DnB. So I can hear the song when I listen to rap and when I listen to DnB. I hope this feature would be as simple as using a , or / in between genres to assign multiple genres for a song, however I don't know how this works in programming. If this feature were to be added please email me at noahdewaard1@gmail.com and I would instantly buy the app!
