  1. I have no idea which specific devices, only that more will be included (for example including more Android 7 devices). Andre
  2. Tweaking build-prop won't be necessary when Poweramp knows about more devices that support high-rez support (next beta release). I guess a lot was hard-coded for what was available with the alpha releases and needs updating. Andre
  3. Report it as an issue with your phone/account via the Get Support facility in the app, or email poweramp.maxmpz@gmail.com. Make sure you state clearly that you have read the FAQ on the subject (http://support.powerampapp.com/knowledgebase/articles/323557-is-internet-connection-required) and that you are sure none of those conditions apply to you. Andre
  4. That tag info says what the music file is, not whether PA can play anything in high-res on your device. Go to Settings > Audio > Output and see if the High Res option is visible and if it can be selected. Worth trying build 704 if 703 does not work for you, it's very device and Android-version dependent. Andre
  5. Quite. As I've said numerous times (and as you would have seen if you'd posted in the right topic, which is linked to in the sticky post at the top of every page) there is no ETA as yet, and it's pointless to keep asking for one when it is currently an open-ended timescale. It will be done when it's done I'm afraid, and then it will be a nice surprise for all of us (me included, I have no more insider information than you do). Andre
  6. If Poweramp (use build 704) and your device supports it, you will see an option in "Settings > Audio > Output" for "Hi-Res Output (Experimental)". Select that and follow the options in there. Andre
  7. Google keeps changing things, that's the problem with Nougat. Please remember you are using an ALPHA test version of Poweramp, a lot more recent devices and Android versions will be supported in the next (beta) release. Andre
  8. Poweramp Settings > Look and Feel > General > Startup Screen. Change this from Player to Library (or Folders) and that will become the app's entry/exit screen rather than the player. But pressing Back within an app's homepage is normally used to exit the app, so it's only standard Android functionality. Andre
  9. Copy it to /etc/audio_policy.conf . I would suggest making a backup of the original version there before you overwrite it. Andre
  10. I wish I could help you, as a small number of people do appear to still have this issue (although it's far from widespread). At the moment I know Max is still buried deep in coding the long-overdue v3 user interface. He has said previously that sometimes this issue is caused by devices not saving their licence data correctly, but while that could be understandable on esoteric devices I can't understand it still happening on unmodified brand-leading mass-market models like an S7 edge (and event then only for a tiny number of users). You could report the problem again to Max via poweramp.maxmpz@gmail.com , maybe he can look into it again for v3? Andre
  11. Are you saying this works for you in build 704, or are you requesting it? This is the 'confirmed working devices' thread. Andre
  12. Please could you contact poweramp.maxmpz@gmail.com with your purchase details and the new and old email addresses. If you could use the old address to send the email that would be simpler. Andre
  13. Most likely your device is not saving the status correctly, Max did mention that some devices/ROMs seem to lose the registered status during a reboot and they need to re-validate. Andre
  14. Thread cleaned. Reminder: This thread is for reporting that your device/ROM works for high-res audio, not for reporting that high-res is not working. Please see http://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/8735-requests-for-hi-res-support-please-ensure-you-are-using-poweramp-build-704-before-requesting/?page=23#comment-42478 for the requests thread. Andre
  15. I'll move this to the High-Res Requests thread. Your problem is most likely your Android 7 Nougat ROM, as this device was reported to be working wih high-res on MIUI 8 Marshmallow. Andre
  16. This is still an experimental feature, it won't work on all devices yet. Hopefully the next beta release, whenever that comes, will address many of the compatibility issues with newer devices and ROMs. Andre
  17. You've obviously found it now but in case anyone else wants it, press EQ button or swipe from right-hand edge of the Player screen and tap the little 'Info' (i) icon near the top right of the panel. Andre
  18. What audio info screen? The tags/info display can be found via the Menu in the Player screen, or long-press on a song title in the library. The Equaliser is found by pressing the EQ button near the top of the player screen, or via swiping in from the right edge. Andre
  19. You need to check the contents of the /etc/audio_policy.conf file to see what your custom firmware is reporting, and if that includes any high-rez modes then could you upload a copy here please. Andre
  20. Well the Note 7 did, so given that this is just a reduced battery version of that phone I would guess it probably does. Why they ever took away the removable battery option I'll never know, they could have saved themselves from the whole Note 7 fiasco. Andre
  21. Isn't that what I said? There are a few internal code changes to better support high-res on early nougat devices, but you won't see any visual differences at all (not even on nougat). Andre
  22. Yes. It's basically just 703 with a few extra tweaks to help make Nougat devices more compatible, but it should be fine on older devices too. I was running it on KitKat for a long time, and now on marshmallow. Unless you are running a nougat system, you probably won't see any difference between 703 and 704. Andre
  23. Well there's you at least. I can't say I've ever heard anyone else mention it though. To be honest, I've never even come across any 5+ channel source material at those sort sort of rates. The files must be HUGE! Andre
