  1. I would guess you need to have files available natively on the Windows PC. USB cable connection from a phone is not the same thing as (for example) putting a USB flash drive into the PC, or using a USB memory card reader. Never tried it though. Andre
  2. @Pav0 I can't seem to duplicate this at all on my system with as close as I can get to what seem to be your settings. Is the step of selecting a song and tapping 'Play Next' required to create the problem for you, as on your video I didn't see the normal toast popup saying the song had been added into the Queue. And then after that you seem to tap the Albums link at the top of the page several times but nothing happens at first? It seem to works fine with all of those steps for me anyway (tested on a Galaxy A54, Android 14) so we'll probably need @maxmp's input. But to stop the Hi-Res error message, just use AAudio instead and select your higher resolution mode within that method. Andre
  3. No, they will be shuffled in amongst other songs which have not be played at all (depending on the Shuffle mode in use of course - I'm referring to All Songs shuffling here). Andre
  4. That slider merely adds some bias to the Shuffle algorithm, so recently played songs tend to be moved nearer to the end of the new shuffled sequence. So yes, moving the slider all the way to the left should mean that songs that have never been played should mostly appear early in the shuffled sequence. Andre
  5. @Pav0 That's not the default skin, please try using the standard skin(s). If that seems OK, please raise this issue with the developer of the skin you are using. If it happens with the default skins too, please could you elaborate on exactly how you reproduce this issue. You are right that some Android 14 ROMs don't support the Experimental Hi-Res feature (my own Samsung Galaxy A54 is an example, even after a few monthly maintenance updates). Please try using AAudio instead. Andre
  6. You need to have the Files system application available to handle access/permissions. Sometimes manufacturers omit this. Andre
  7. Presumably you mean only for when a song has its own embedded lyrics, or if there is a local matching LRC file, as any song can have lyrics provided from an external source (e.g. MusiXmatch) Andre
  8. You don't actually need to have your MP3 files properly tagged to be able to listen to them. Poweramp will still scan any discovered audio files into its database and arrange them by folders, which you can browse through in Folders Hierarchy view, just like using a file explorer app, and select each song by its raw filename. But that's a really tedious 1990s approach, and embedding tags for Title, Artist, Album Title, Album Artist, Genre, cover artwork, etc has been standard in all types of music file for many years now. To make the task easier and quicker I would suggest using a batch tag editing program on a computer - such as TagScanner or MP3Tag. You may even find a lot of your music already has basic tags included - unless you ripped everything from CDs for yourself and did not provide them. And even then, most decent CD ripping software will try to find details of the album online and create appropriate tags for you. Andre,
  9. Forgot to reply to this, sorry. The latest build from the website is 981, which you can download as an official APK file from here: https://forum.powerampapp.com/files/category/2-poweramp-v3-latest-releases/ and install manually. Or wait until the current series of builds is promoted to Stable, and the Play Store will then update it automatically for you. Andre
  10. Both the Export and Import processes provide a file location selector, so you can save the backup to anywhere that you have storage access permission. Or just make a note of where it gets saved by default, and then copy it from there later. Andre
  11. @Ricobico I've never tried not giving an EQ Preset a name, but if that's even possible the list of assigned Presets would quickly become unmanageable if they are all blank. [Edit] I just tried, and the 'Save' button is greyed-out in the Save/Assign panel until you give the new Preset a name, so you couldn't have saved anything without naming it anyway. I agree that assigning a different Preset for every song is very unusual though, and not really what an Equalizer is intended for. But it would be feasible to do it if you really want to though. Andre
  12. Re: EQ. Yes, that's how it is supposed to work, and that's how it does work for me. Make sure you have AutoSave turned off or you might accidentally change your assigned preset. A preset that was assigned for a specific Song should override any other saved presets (device, Album, etc) which may also be in force. So: First adjust the EQ sliders as desired, then tap the three-dots icon and select Save/Assign. Enter a name for the preset and tick the 'Song: xxxxx' entry and press 'Save'. Next time you listen to that song, that EQ preset should be activated. When the song is finished, the assigned EQ values will remain in place until something else overrides them - such as an overall saved Preset for the current output device, or if there is a saved Preset for the overall album, folder, next song, etc. Re: Shuffle. There is a known bug with Android 14 on some devices, where the OS can forward a command to change the Shuffle and Repeat modes during Bluetooth connections. See: There is a new option in recent beta builds of PA to try to override this (Settings=>Headset/Bluetooth=>Ignore Repeat/Shuffle) but it doesn't seem 100% effective for all devices yet, should be improved still further in the next beta release. Andre
  13. Yes, just use Settings=>Export Settings/Data. You can choose to only save your EQ values, or other stuff too if you want. Then copy the resulting file over to your new device and use Import Settings/Data. EQ adjustments are normally tailored to the listening device though, so they may not sound the same in your car as they did for your headphones. Andre
  14. Also worth a look at the Guide I wrote with regard to embedded tags, which goes into the subject in more detail: As @MotleyG has said, the folder names you create on your storage have nothing to do with Albums or any other Library Category. You can call your folders and subfolders anything like like, and those names will appear in the Folders (and Folders Hierarchy) views, but nowhere else. They are used in the same way a File Explorer app uses folders and subfolders. Once you've got your files and folders set up - ideally all contained in subfolders within one master folder for neatness - it might be an idea to grant the access permissions again for only that one master folder in order to create the library again from scratch: Andre
  15. Did you read the FAQ that I linked in my earlier reply? As long as you are using the same Google account with which you first made the purchase, that should contained everything you need to know. If your entire old Google account has been deleted and you have created a new one though, anything that you purchased via the old account will have been lost along with the account. Andre
  16. How did you make the purchase, from the Google Play Store, or directly from the website here? If Play Store then as long as you are using the same Google account you should be able to simply download the main Poweramp Trial app and then the Unlocker app again. If from the website, make sure you've downloaded the APK file from here (rather than from the Play Store) and then use Settings=>Already Purchased?=>Website to re-enter your email address and the purchase ID that you were sent. Andre
  17. @lidecolor In which respect, with Poweramp acting as a server or a client? Both are in the Request Requests Voting section of the site if you want to vote anyway, but neither seem to have much popular appeal thus far: Andre
  18. Please vote here. Note that even if implemented, it probably won't work reliably for Bluetooth. Andre
  19. It's probably the Bluetooth device that is issuing a PLAY or PLAY_PAUSE command. Is it a car headunit, as they are especially prone to this. Check in PA Settings=>Headset/Bluetooth=>Last Processed Commands to see if there's anything happening just after connection. If this is the case, on the latest builds of PA you can define a period during which commands from the connected BT device will be ignored. Also, do you have the PA Equalizer app installed too, as that has its own Resume on BT option which you might need to turn off. Andre
  20. @takayo If MusicFX is turned on in the second page of the Equalizer screen in Poweramp (not only enabled in the Settings menu, which I agree can seem a little confusing) then you should be able to see it in the PA-EQ 'Known Players' menu. The ADB dump permission should not be required for PA, as activating the MusicFX switch is sufficient. This is on my Samsung Galaxy A54 5G with Android 14, so a very similar device to yours: Andre
  21. The AutoEQ database is updated for both apps from the same master index, sourced from the AutoEQ website, so as long as you keep them up to date they should have roughly the same set of presets available. Obviously one app or the other may be slightly more up to date depending on when the most recent app build was released. Poweramp build 981 was released on 25 Dec, whereas PA-EQ build 982 was released on 3 Jan so could have a few more very recent presets included. The next PA build will probably reverse that situation. Andre
  22. Do the Folders appear, with song files within them? Are the MP3s fully tagged - with Album Artist tags for example? Andre
  23. Then you won't have an Unlocker app, for website downloads the licence process is handled within the PA-EQ app directly. Andre
  24. Yes, download either the Poweramp Music Player app or the Poweramp Equalizer app from the Play Store or from the website Download area at the top of the page here. For the Equalizer, if you want to make it work on a wider range of Known Players, please see: Andre
  25. Currently Poweramp is an Android app. While it may be possible to cross-compile it for other platforms at some stage in the (fairly distant) future, for now your choice of switching to an iPhone means you can't run Poweramp, or indeed any other Android apps. Andre
