imso3k
The built-in rock equalizer sounds kinnda off with my recent headphones, I just got the Moondrop Starfield IEMs and I really want to tune the eq as best as I can for it, I listen to bands like Linkin Park, Architects some MGK (which is like, different genre every album) etc. Thank you. flyingdutchman
@coolguy downloaded it but it is not clear to me how to use it? any pointers?
coolguy
@flyingdutchman you dont need to download anything. Navigate to the "results" folder, then use CTRL+F (or "Find in page" if on mobile) to type in your headphone model. You should see a "Fixed Band EQs" field. You can simply copy the gains from that into a Poweramp eq profile.
flyingdutchman
@coolguy ok, finally did as you suggested , but when importing in Poweramp, I can find the correct files but these are .txt and are not available for import. I guess I need the "Creative Outlier Air ParametricEQ.txt. Is is the intention that I adjust the bands manually?
MotleyG
I think the values are being manually input, just following the profiles downloaded. But I believe this is a very personal adjustment. Even if the headphones are identical, every device has different hardware. So the results will always vary. Like a skin, i would start with a flat response, and make minor adjustments as necessary to get the sound you want.
flyingdutchman
@MotleyG thanks, entering a few profiles now. I discovered that by pressing the text labels, you can enter new values but I guess I am on the same journey as other Poweramp afficionados

I use already available profiles or download some from the internet. Then just tune it myself.
flyingdutchman
I now understand maxmp's post where he talks about future developments on importing .txt files and reading straight from the autoeq database 😃

andrewilley
The .txt file can be imported now, but you currently have to download it from the AutoEQ site yourself. Andre
flyingdutchman
@andrewilley are you referring to Github? as I cannot find a specific autoEq website

Andre ok, found it finally by reading the release notes carefully. By long pressing a preset the dialog appears. Not the most intuitive way to import though but once you know .... pretty amazing . Simply looking at the profile on the left gives you an idea of the preset effect
