cyberchulo
Hello all. Just wondering if it's possible to export the files to a target folder from a playlist as I would like to copy them to a USB device for use in my car.
Bencherished
No, Poweramp does not move or copy files, it can rename, delete and read.

andrewilley
PA can't even rename music files - just read them, modify embedded tags, or delete them (you can rename Playlists though). The Info/Tags screen does allow you to open the containing folder in a file explorer though, where you can move/copy/rename files. Andre
flyingdutchman
@cyberchulo i believe my app new playlist manager can do this as long as you have not got android 11. It has been a long time ago i added this functionality so would need to check if it still works. If you are interested let me know

flyingdutchman
@cyberchulo I just released a new version where you can copy the tracks on a playlist to another folder. You can find it on the playlist context menu (3 little dots)

w3wilkes
Also if you maintain your master library on a PC you can do this with Foobar2000 and there's also a setting that will keep the files in the same order that they exist in the playlist. "%list_index% %title%" in the "File name pattern" in the "Copy to" within "File operations".
MotleyG
There is another app by the dBpoweramp team (unrelated to Poweramp) that does this specifically for mobile platforms called TuneFUSION that also works very well. I believe it is currently for Windows only.

andrewilley
@flyingdutchman Have you now solved the Android 11 write-permissions issue by the way? File explorer apps seem to do it, so I assume there is a work-around. Andre
flyingdutchman
@andrewilley I finally got to the bottom of this. As long as your tracks are on the internal sdcard there appears to be no problems. However, for android 10/11 where your tracks reside on the xternal sdcard, permission requirements prevent the creation of Android playlist. Poweramp playlists are not affected as these do not use the android media database.
