  1. Will chime in and say that yes, releases from bandcamp never contain genre tags from the get go (i always have to peruse the keywords at the bottom of the album listing to see what the artist had in mind for the genre :P)
  2. Poweramp can play back DSF/DSD files but it converts to PCM (for any kind of DSP with such files this is necessary). If your device supports it, I'd recommend setting your output frequency to a multiple of 44.1, (such as 88.2 or 176.4 kilohertz).
  3. Not the developer (obviously), but I recall reworked tempo/pitch controls were planned for the series of builds after those that focused on lyrics. Who knows now, though!
  4. I recall seeing a user, perhaps on the Poweramp subreddit, asking if the A to Z list navigation shortcut could be resizable. I believe the issue was their phone or DAP's case or screen cover was restricting their ability to navigate to this since it is such a narrow slice at the edge of the screen. Just wondering. Thanks!
  5. Won't be the way you want it until some pending but broader feature request is implemented. (Such as to have user customize the metadata shown in lists and on now playing screen)
  6. Awesome, good to know there's currently options for making #1 work with networked storage and shared folders. I moreso meant that aspect was less likely to be something built vertically into Poweramp's operation rather than with the use of third party tools. (It is a strength of android to have such tools, rather than waiting for every app to be entirely built up in a sandbox).
  7. Whoa now, I would not keep your hopes up.. See Andre's post about frequently requested features, specifically: - Library access to local sources (e.g. playback of songs from home DLNA or NAS servers, SMB/FTP access, etc). - Library access to users' cloud sources (e.g. playing your music from Google Drive, Dropbox, or other online locations). - Access to commercial streaming services (Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, etc). <-- Note: unlikely to happen due to licensing restrictions The first two ever materializing is plausible, but no clear sign of when. The last point sounds like what you're asking. As I said, get cozy waiting for that one ☕.
  8. Relevant to the two concurrent threads on this same topic, isn't there a separate No Duck option for each output that could be involved?
  9. Not to say it's neat, or even defend its sloppiness, well maybe I am.. Bandcamp does have to make due with a "one size fits most" attitude for its tags across all the formats If there's no convenient way to batch process lyric text bouncing between tags in mp3tag, I'll be relieved to know Poweramp will support these in the near future!
  10. You'd have to go into all sub-menus found in Settings->Audio->(Sub-Menu). At the bottom of each is a Restore Defaults button. Wiping app data probably works too
  11. Markings are present in the song list if the file has bit depth ≥24 and if the sample rate is ≥88.2kHz. You can also find on the bottom of now playing screen, a readout of file's bit depth, sample rate, overall bitrate, and file format. This readout can be tapped and cycled through other options, this is one of them. Another being one which shows the current output method (Audiotrack, OpenSL, or Hi-Res), bit depth and sample rate. When either of those two are long-pressed, it will show audio signal path info. Some apps, for example UAPP, define hi-res as anything with bit depth ≥24 and sample rate ≥48kHz. It would slap a hi-res sticker on 16bit/48kHz files as well as 24bit/44.1kHz. So, what is "hi-res" is a mushy matter.
  12. Last time I checked android version of fb2k did have replay gain scanning and insertion into tags. Not the full settings as desktop would offer, but it's certainly there.
  13. As was suggested to you months ago, low volume is symptom of DVC and Hi-Res output not working hand in hand - this is a firmware limitation (my X5iii DAP doesn't get both either *shrug*), and releases after build 942 corrected previously misreported audio capabilities.
  14. Realme forum posts suggest it might not have worked before? There's barely any back and forth, there, however. It does include a 3.5mm jack, so lacking hi res would be curious. Might be worth checking into your device's audio policy, too. Are there any OS settings for Dolby Atmos DSP stuff that got changed around by your device's update?
  15. I did not suggest that it did. Chrome is the issue, here. Thx!
  16. Just installed build 955 on my P7P (running Android 13 beta, no custom roms) If you downloaded the apk via Chrome, I can confirm that trying to open the file from downloads there does not allow installation. What did work was accessing the apk from stock Files app, which installed with no issues. (See initial page from fresh install below)
  17. On Android 13 (T2B3.230109.004), these are the only relevant system settings regarding power double tap shortcuts on P7P. I don't know if the media button logs would show what's causing this, as it's only causing focus to shift to Poweramp, not adjusting playback in Poweramp, right? @thermalrust
  18. I would be happily disproven, to find that there is some way of legally obtaining albums with spatial audio encoding (not counting existing AC3, DD+, DTS, or full bitrate multichannel PCM sources). However anything Dolby Atmos*, Sony 360 Reality, etc., are to my knowledge all tied to some subscription-based streaming service (Tidal, Amazon, Apple, and so on). You do not own these spatial audio versions, and thus supporting their local playback in Poweramp is on iffy ground. Rather than suggest I use Bing... (odd choice, that) how about you point me in the direction of a reputable digital music retailer selling spatial audio formats. [*full bitrate Atmos mixes (read as Dolby TrueHD 7.1 when Atmos decoding is absent on your hifi receiver) are supported on blu-ray media.]
  19. Was covered a year ago by the dev, on this very same page of thread comments. [Dev] definitely in the future features list and Poweramp will have this mode. It requires a lot of changes, so we want this not to affect users which are comfortable with the current (direct) playback methods.
  20. TL;DR Those of us with (comparatively niche) DAPs from the likes of iBasso, FiiO, etc., would benefit from this. (Max says as such, that the methods employed in UAPP and Neutron work fine in these cases). However since the vast majority has smartphones and OEM limitations (locking bit depths to sample rates in the case of Samsung), it ends up being more trouble than it's worth.
  21. Stacking the two doesn't allow hi res output, and the player not having a compressor like the EQ app isn't a deal breaker to me.
  22. Aren't you guys just describing this issue Andre pointed out?
