  1. I was trying to steer my suggestion away from 432 nonsense. There’s nothing special or cosmic about detuning your music, full stop. But if you’re going to have gone to lengths to aide listeners of audiobooks in a music player app (?) This seems to be a no-brainer... Especially if Poweramp is internally capable. Saying it’s internally capable and declining when there’s a number of use cases feels like being deliberately obstinate. As others have said, this could help musicians who want to play along to a song in a key easier for them to play, etc. Changing pitch 200 cents brings you down a whole tone, which for singers can be huge.
  2. Yea, it is quite unfortunate the listening preferences of the developer override the requests of legitimate music listeners. Using Poweramp for AudioBooks? Give me a break...
  3. I guess if we were to say pitch = pitch, tempo = tempo, & speed = pitch AND tempo. Currently Poweramp only allows users to adjust tempo. I wouldn't be very interested in having pitch adjustible by itself, but rather speed. The ranges available to user need not be absurd (I don't think any music is going to be enjoyable at one tenth its original speed). The use case for that is nonexistent. No argument there. Sometimes on an hour+ trip in the car, bringing the speed down by a few ticks (8%) can make an album sound brand new. I'm not talking woo-woo 432 Hz nonsense, just on the whole, it has a use case. Want something more mellow than Bob Marley's Redemption Song? That's the solution. I find it funny that Poweramp yet lacks an OPTION to avoid resampling to a fixed rate, when ones hardware supports the full gamut of sample rates (44.1-384kHz). If you're committed to only offering true 1:1 playback 100% of the time. Then what's that about? Nothing "gapless" will be in different sample rates.
  4. We just gotta sit tight and ask nicely Separating the chaff from the worthy suggestions is arduous, I'm sure. On top of things already in the works (like new multiband graphic EQ & Parametric EQ options). The finer control of tempo & pitch would complete the package!
  5. @Vekx92 I’ve had great results doing this in Neutron Music Player. But it works differently than existing tempo changer in Poweramp. Poweramp changes tempo while maintaining original pitch. Neutron has two sliders, one for tempo and one for pitch. Pitch there adjust pitch alone. Bringing tempo value down to 0.92x for example also changes pitch in practice (but not the pitch setting value itself). An option for “tone compensation” allows pitch value to automatically adjust based on how slow tempo is, bringing it back to “normal sound” as Poweramp does automatically.
  6. I’ve noticed web (non-GP) purchases cache the license immediately (provided connection to internet exists at time of entry). GP purchases require connection to network after 24 hours to verify and then cache the license for good. Occasionally in my haste I’ve just advanced my android device’s clock forward 24 hours and this seems to initiate the cache-ing of the license, but YMMV.
  7. Go to Settings -> Look and Feel -> Skin -> Pro Buttons (Enable)
  8. Ooops. Sorry, foot in mouth >_<. I suppose I figured since I saw it the first time I was seeing it every time. Yes, even on Android 5.1.1 on X5iii it loads right up, as you said. (Let’s keep it that way, shall we?)
  9. As soon as I click the app, it shows "initializing" and then the app starts. What more do you need?
  10. >_> pretty unnecessary mate. There’s already a clickable area (beneath the seekbar) that shows you file’s bit depth and sample rate. Click again and it shows you the output behavior.
  11. +1 these accidental scrubs drive me up a wall. (relatively so)
  12. Build 863 seems to have fixed a long-standing issue I’d had involving embedded album artwork. A few dozen albums used to have artwork unreadable by Poweramp (even when using the artwork selector from file system), even though those albums had artwork visible in the likes of UAPP & Neutron. Some albums with artwork of obscene size would be visible when others that I’d try to have fixed, would persist in their stubbornness. but alas! All is fixed now.
  13. it’s funny, UAPP has this, but anytime there’s yellow in the album art, the algorithm behind the scenes just picks the most disgustingly horrid shade of yellow.
  14. Poweramp already plays back 5.1 / 6 channel audio sources. Mixes them down to stereo in a pleasing enough manner. Anything more than that is just caking on reverb creating some Frankenstein abomination. There's already a stereo expander effect, too.
  15. Hide Status Bar is checked under Look & Feel? I don’t know if it’s the means by which you mirror it to your TV screen that’s forcing the status bar to appear. My particular device (FiiO X5iii) is still on android 5.1.1 but has the navigation buttons hidden by the player’s firmware. So those might not be removable on newer Android versions.
  16. Just move the date ahead one day in your system’s date & time settings. In Poweramp’s settings; under about, you can see it will be permanently stored. Reset your date back to normal, no more problems.
  17. Easier for you not to just convert these iso's to .dsf format? And just tag them. Free software from Sonore: https://www.sonore.us/iso2dsd.html
  18. Is your music already scanned with replaygain tags? with foobar on windows the traditional DR & R128 (dB) measurements can be added to the file tags. If you click info/tags in Poweramp the normalization amount & peak level in dB will then be seen. It would be nice if Poweramp would display the R128 dB dynamic range measurements too, however.
  19. FiiO X5 3rd Gen, Android 5.1 32/192 working on Headphone Output, Balanced Output, & Line Output... sweet! Might show up as 16/192 first but you just have to “restore defaults” for the output and it’s all good.
  20. Have you used the latest build? This was specifically addressed in 840-841 build.
  21. What is the efficacy in using a FiiO Q1 with the M11? I don't understand, you have more than enough power on hand with your DAP
  22. I've got a 2.5mm 4 pole to 3.5mm 4 pole cable (cheap adapter that came with my motorcycle helmet intercom). Unless you have something else in mind I can still send that your way.
  23. Bumping request again for this app to recognize line out and balanced connections on the FiiO X5iii as proper hi res outputs and not just "speaker" If you lack a device for testing, heck, I'll even send my own for whatever length of time it takes.
  24. I'm having issues with cover art. Of maybe 1000 albums, 92 albums refuse to load the embedded cover art. Even for these offending albums, I placed the album art in a .jpg/.png in the album folder, none of which exceed 4mb, and when selecting them manually, the default image still remains.
  25. I'll continue to make noise about this issue. FiiO X5 3rd Generation, build 838. Hi Res Output is bugged. Occasionally locks itself to 16 bit / 192 kHz, on headphone output, labeled wired headset/aux. And Balanced headphone output and line out are labeled as SPEAKER. And locked to OpenSL ES 16/48. I understand this is probably common practice for cell phones that have an earpiece and speaker. But this is not a cell phone. It is a digital audio player with three wired outputs. Is this anything in the scope of development that you ever plan to address? I've made posts in bug reports thread. I've made an official bug report. What does it take to get an answer around here? 12:34:29.421 v3-build-838-arm32-play Device: FiiO FiiO X5 X5 rk30sdk [armeabi-v7a, armeabi] FLAG_SUPPORTS_LDAC for FiiO reading=/system/etc/audio_policy.conf has outputs_primary, sampling_rates=44100|48000 has hifi_direct, sampling_rates=6000|8000|11025|22050|16000|24000|32000|64000|128000|44100|48000|88200|96000|176400|192000|352800|384000 hifi_direct AUDIO_OUTPUT_FLAG_DIRECT has hifi_direct formats=AUDIO_FORMAT_PCM_16_BIT|AUDIO_FORMAT_PCM_32_BIT|AUDIO_FORMAT_PCM_FLOAT|AUDIO_FORMAT_DSD64|AUDIO_FORMAT_DSD128|AUDIO_FORMAT_DSD256 FiiO X5 hifi_direct FLAG_VARIANT_DIRECT_HD has usb has usb outputs has usb_device, sampling_rates=dynamic has usb formats=dynamic OK flags=0x805010400000000 FLAG_VARIANT_DIRECT_HD FLAG_SUPPORTS_PCM_32 FLAG_ALLOW_PCM_32 FLAG_SUPPORTS_USB FLAG_SUPPORTS_LDAC INTERNAL_OUTPUT_FLAG_SR_384K INTERNAL_OUTPUT_FLAG_SR_352K INTERNAL_OUTPUT_FLAG_SR_192K INTERNAL_OUTPUT_FLAG_SR_176K INTERNAL_OUTPUT_FLAG_SR_96K INTERNAL_OUTPUT_FLAG_SR_88K INTERNAL_OUTPUT_FLAG_SR_48K INTERNAL_OUTPUT_FLAG_SR_44K audio_policy.conf build.prop
