SennLife44
Hi, I've been using power amp for a couple years now and have never played with the DVC option. When I enable DVC it seems to make everything louder with some quality loss. Now I'm just wondering what EXACTLY does DVC do? Is it just like raising the pre-amp or what? And no I don't have beats or anything else trying to control volume and my eq is always flat.
andrewilley
I believe to allows Poweramp more direct control of a device's gain control, rather than going through to usual Android interfaces to get to it. But I don't know the details I'm afraid, apart from the fact it doesn't always give the most reliable results on some devices and a lot of people keep it turned off (which may reduce the overall level though). SennLife44
Hmm. When I have it on using Bluetooth speakers or inexpensive speakers it sounds really good. But when I use my Sennheiser HD650's I notice some levels are over saturated. I was curious if I'm just crazy or if it actually does make that big of a difference.
