Many thanks for this new release!

The revamped Presets handling is great, and we now have the long-waited Lock option!

Hoping these functionalities will be soon included in PA player.

Ciao, Stefano

Lock 🔒 is the most useful addition no more accidental touch tunning , I've already burrowed settings for my headphone from AutoEQ but still it's a great addition for everyone else just one click in preset and you see AutoEQ etc in top bar 👍🏼

@maxmp after the update, it became impossible to enable notifications. Rebooting and reinstalling from scratch did not give any result.
And the equalizer also reacts only to Yandex music, ignoring all other players.

Rolled back to 960 build and everything started working

Something is wrong in the auto eq preset list. It only shows till the presets starting with a, not b,c,d,e,f,g,h, etc till z.

Looks like you have the 'Assigned' toggle enabled, which will only show presets that you have assigned for use.

The assigned toggle is not enabled at all. Only when typing OnePlus or Samsung, the names show up but in normal scrolling of total list without search filters it only shows till the alphabet A. @maxmp

@Bargunan there is limit for about 500 items. You can just narrow your search - loading thousands of AutoEq presets (there are over 11000) is useless and reduces UI performance. Thanks!

Hi, What do you mean by narrow the search? And how to do it? Also how to explore most of those presets available btw? Unable to find a list on GitHub.

@Bargunan the built in presets are always visible, it's AutoEq presets which are hidden. As soon as you have device connected (or just know the device name) you can find the appropriate device AutoEq presets - either by using equalizer suggested presets or by searching manually.

A question:

every AutoEq parametric preset has its own preamp value, which compensate the filters gain, why set it to zero?

Yeah but how to find the names of all the autoeq presets? Us there a link for reference I'm asking. I sent the screenshot after my earphone was connected. There's no suggested or assigned autoeq presets for my device.

It's based on the AutoEQ Results list: https://github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq/tree/master/results . I don't know whether that data is re-read dynamically or if it's a pre-defined list though.

@code AutoEq presets are tuned not to go over the digital 0dB. By default Poweramp is not affected by this (for the non-max volume levels) - and you need that explicit negative preamp only if you either disable DVC or (in non-DVC mode) if you tune your "No DVC Headroom Gain", which is -6dB by default.

Also Poweramp already applied +6dB to AutoEQ graphic presets.

Generally we don't want AutoEq presets suddenly be lower by -6dB in Poweramp comparing to other (built in and custom) presets.

@Bargunan AutoEq presets are tuned for the specific device - if you have your device connected, the device name is either pulled automatically (BT and USB devices), or (for wired headphones) you can search manually by that device name.

You don't really want to apply some random Sony WMX-1000XM6 preset to your Galaxy Buds2 as this is counterproductive. It won't make sound any closer to that device. Thanks!

@Illm4tic Yes, just Save each configured setup as a Preset.

If they are Bluetooth devices then each Preset can be autoloaded for you by name, or if generic 3.5mm connected then you can pick it from the Presets list.

Andre

Does it make a difference if it's through a single DAC? Like the app will pickup what portable dac it is on my phone.

I must be doing something wrong. I go to Save/Assign for different earbuds/headphones, then do I optionally apply the preset to the output like USB Dac, for example? Because now I still have to type them out. They don't automatically appear. I did change the name

@Illm4tic Correct, you can give a Preset any name you like, so you can identify it later. If you are re-saving a modification of something that you have previously loaded (e.g. an adjustment you have made to an AutoEQ preset) then it will be pre-filled with the existing name - but it would make sense to change that before saving to identify the changes you made.

Additionally you can assign a Preset when you are saving it so it will be auto-applied for a particular device by ticking the box for that device's individual name . The device needs to be connected and available at time of saving, otherwise you will only be able to assign by type general type - e.g. Bluetooth, which would apply it to all Bluetooth devices.
