Online radio streaming; Tunein stations?

Perhaps an out-there suggestion, but could these forums have a sub-area for resolving & discussing Radio streams or URLs that people have problems with?

In my case I've been trying to connect/Add the following URL that my friend suggested I listen too: https://tunein.com/radio/Radio-Paradise-Mellow-Mix-s308828/

I think I understand that Tunein.com are not the originator of this stream and perhaps I should find another URL for this stream instead of assuming that TuneIn make the stream source available?

This is another url that I need to figure out how to get working.

https://radioplayer.nationplayer.com/NationLove

You need to use stations that provide a Shoutcast style streaming URL, usually an HTTP link. The pages you mention are all online website players which require you to visit the site and play the station via an embedded player included on their page.

Googling the station name + shoutcast might help. e.g. there are index sites like http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/ for UK stations.

If you find a downloadable M3U playlist file, it will contain the actual audio station URL. If so, you can either save the M3U file onto your phone and let PA scan it, or use the contained URL link (it's plain text inside the playlist file) directly in PA's 'Add Stream' feature.

Nation Love for example seems to be quoted in a downloadable playlist file called lovenationdab.mp3.m3u which contains the actual link http://edge-audio-06-thn.sharp-stream.com:80/lovenationdab.mp3 (although I don't know if that's an officially supported feed).

Radio Paradise appears to have URL links in their legacy pages: https://legacy.radioparadise.com/rp_2.php?#name=Listen&file=links , or a bit more Googling finds http://stream.radioparadise.com/mellow-flacm for their Mellow Mix.

This sort of thing isn't really anything to do with Poweramp though - any more than we provide links for downloading individual song files - so probably not something we would start a section for here on the website.

Thank you very much for your help André.

I will follow up on the links you have suggested.

I get the impression from reading up on Poweramp that PA is facing a lot of competition from streaming services like Spotify or goggles music services etc. So it would seem logical to me if the PA team were able to add additional service options to their app and or have some plugin that better supports online streaming, and for auido blogs too. And perhaps include an automated index of online streams that people would like to add to PA.

Not when it comes to local file playback like it was designed for.

Sur, It's great and I understand that. However I'd hate to see an app like this vanish because the big players (Corps) drown a great app like this; so I hope that the good development team do their best to keep up with the competition. I've seen other technology firms get burnt and vanish due to strength of much larger corporation just muscling in.
