I narrowed it down to the Yaps Alternative Skin.   With other skins it doesn't do this.

@maxmp It is a request

We want you to be able to set the start point and the end point of the song for each song

Example: Play from 0:00 to 1:20 and go to the next song

I have found the same thing. If I quickly scroll the list up and down, the mini player appears but often disappears again. I also have the Yaps skin, the standard skins are okay.

That helps, but normally when scrolling with this disabled, it reappears when the list is dragged back up a bit and stays. With the Yaps skin enabled, it only briefly reappears then disappears again. It doesn’t happen with other skins so far, I guess the skin developer will have to check.
