1. and not to forget BIGYAPS, it has large buttons, especially useful for driving situations and its is FREE
2. My skin $yaps$ has options to set font and font sizes. Although it is possible to hide the folder name, it would also affect the other list displays which is probably not what you want.
3. @maxmp, many thanks for the quick response. So I guess this can be created in Photoshop.
4. This is my solution, simply move text to the right
5. @maxmp, struggling with displaying a properly rounded coloured seekbar and would appreciate some help. in attrs-powerui.xml you state: "<!-- NOTE: barBitmap/elapsedBarBitmap/barBitmap2/elapsedBarBitmap2 are specifically crafted bitmaps. Height of the bitmap should be >= width of the bitmap. Bitmap is stretched in a way similar to 9-patch images, but only 3 "patches" used - top, middle, bottom. Top is unstretched, height=width*0.5, bottom is unstretched, height=width*0.5 and reset is stretched middle." Question: As 9 patch does not provide the correct png, how is "specifically crafted" achieved. Photoshop? Also the sentence Top is unstretched, height=width*0.5, bottom is unstretched, height=width*0.5 and reset is stretched middle." I find totally confusing., if top is unstretched, what does the height=width*0.5 refer to eg for a png 32*68 px this would be 16. Neither do i understand "reset is stretched middle." Can you provide some additional clarification please?
6. The thing to realise when using wmp to mantain tags is that it writes those changes to its own media databsse. When you later copy these tracks somewhere else, those changes stay behind. Wmp has an option to write the changes to the tracks . you use Windows Media Player on a pc to maintain your ratings, make sure you select Tools, Apply Media information changes, to ensure the ratings are written to the POPM tag
7. Reading this thread, i realised that in my skin, when hiding albumart in library, i was not handling the check boxes. I fixed this now. When selecting, the text such as title, genre, meta info etc moves to the right of the check box.
8. Thanks, forgot to add, touching buttons will now flash the navbar icon colour
9. V84 has been released. (it may take a while to appear in Google Play) What's New: - hide visualisation panel - Volume slider positioning, left hand side, right hand side, below albumart, replace seekbar - new "dark metal" play buttons - new "dark metal" equaliser switches and slider - new "dark metal" equaliser buttons and some other bits Want to see your own language and are willing to spend a few hours? get in touch Want to see your own high quality icons? get in touch This is the most advanced skin available at the moment
10. Yes, once installed you need to set the option to show. Next release has options to show left hand side, right hand side, below albumart or instead of the seekbar
11. As andre pointed out, I admit, i did not read all this. From a developer point of view, I enjoy what I do and yes, it would be nice to have fancy graphics but a) my photoshop skills are limited and b) it does not warrent to purchase icons and graphics given the low cost of the app. If you have royalty free graphics or can provide graphics with a perpetual license, by all means send them. If i like them i might integrate them
12. There are a few skins that allow you to customise Poweramp. My skin $yaps$ is te most versatile skin at the moment
13. He/she could add them together and apply the light/dark mode logic
14. When you click away the info, you are discarding the information on why Poweramp stops. Open it up and have a look at something called stacktrace
15. Switching modes can switch skins but afaik both skins must be in the same app
16. First of all, Yaps is a free version which, when published was a "reduced" version of $YAPS$. It is meant to show some of the capabilities/functionality of the paid version. Since its pubication, a lot more development has gone into $YAPS$ so this is now even more advanced. As for the graphics (buttons and sliders), I can try and recreate them unless there is someone out there who can supply them. You will find I have a number of choices for play buttons and equaliser knobs. Track, album/artist text is below the albumart. In fact the reason I decided to try and create my own skin was exactly because of them on top of albumart. In addition, most artifacts can be hidden in my skins. Repeat, shuffle etc sit below the albumart but can be hidden. Over 100 colours (including opaques )are available to set as background but not just for these buttons, you can set background colours on other artifacts . Furthermore, a number of other items are available, seekbar, waveseek, volume slider, fonts, fine tuning of sizes etc etc. too much to list The basic sliding behaviours are imho a vast improvement on the older version. The new hide "visualsation panel" option will be available in the new release. To get an idea of options available, have a look here http://www.theo.klinkweb.nl/poweramp_skin.html ps as it evolves all the time, the menu options may have changed
17. @DevilSlayerDante, done. It will be in the next release of $YAPS$ in the form of an option to hide it
18. @andrewilley, the full screen option does not show a panel, just the fade control option
19. This would be for the "Fade Controls" option only ?
20. Can't say I find this encourages me to delve into @DevilSlayerDante's requirements by dissecting this thread. However, if there is a concise problem definition I may look at it.
21. Yes, look here https://forum.powerampapp.com/forum/18-Poweramp-new-releases/
22. You are too impatient. You have managed to identify the "easy" bits, Early V3 skin developers did this too but then it gets more complex. One tip, ItemTop prefixes are use mainly on the front screen. Once into libraries you look for ItemTrack prefixes. Use the search function on your pc to search the skin sdk eg the Treble knob search for Treble and then explore the xml files. Good luck
23. Looks like some competition is coming 😃. Everything that can be customised has been exposed in the skin sdk. It is very comprehensive and complete. I have not come across any references to the main settings though. You will of course have your own settings pages. Have a look at some of my sample screenshots. http://www.theo.klinkweb.nl/poweramp_skin.html
24. @giannisgx89, as you are giving it a go and wanted to set icons I will give you one to kick off with: where the drawable is your icon of course
