Queue song sequence is changed unexpectedly when a song is added to playlist

Hello,

Queue song sequence is changed unexpectedly when a song is added to a playlist.

 

To reproduce:
* add playlist to queue (e.g. 20 songs)
* go to queue and select random play
* let some songs of queue play, .e.g. until song AAA at queue position 5/20
* go back to song BBB at queue position 3/20
* add song BBB at queue position 3/20 via menu to another playlist

 

Queue song sequence gets changed unexpectedly. Song BBB is now at position 5/20. Song AAA is now at position 3/20.
Impact: if you go forward and backward through a queue and add songs to playlist the sequence is heavily changed so you get missed some songs since they move to the already played part.

Does this happen if you are not playing in random order? I guess normally you would not randomise the queue, as it is a short-term immediate play featureand for longer term/random lists a Playlist would be more suitable.

Hello Andre,

 

I will check this as soon as possible. Currently I my queue is filled with new songs which I intend to hear through (randomized) and distribute them to different playlists. So I cannot test non-ramdomized behavior now without losing the current progress.

 

But doing without randomizing a playlist would play always in same sequence. Thats not pleasurable.

I was saying that randomising a playlist definitely makes sense, whereas randomising a transient queue perhaps does not.

Hello,

now I have made additional tests. I have a playlist with 137 songs. In all cases I have done the following:
1. Pause playing of song 1/137
2. Forward to song 10/137
3. Go back to song 7/137
4. Put song 7 to another (new) playlist

Test 1: Play the playlist in playlist order (not randomized).
--> All works as excepted. Sequence hasn't changed. Song 1-10 are in same position as before.

Test 2: Play the playlist in randomized order.
--> Error occurred. Sequence has changed. See below.

Test 3: Enqueue the playlist to empty queue. Play queue in enqueued order (not randomized).
--> All works as excepted. Sequence hasn't changed. Song 1-10 are in same position as before.

Test 4: Enqueue the playlist to empty queue. Play queue in randomized order.
--> Error occurred. Sequence has changed. See below.

Error:
After adding song 7/137 to another playlist the sequence of songs 1-10 changes like that.

It would be very nice if this problem will be fixed.
