Tunneling audio from other sources through Poweramp audio engine

Is it possible to tunnel audio from the other sources through awesome Poweramp audio engine? Maybe audio engine can be released through a separate app? I know there are other apps that tries to do this but are not even close to Poweramp audio engine. I do know Viper4Android and such other engines but they require root. Maybe dev can provide this non-root solution to the world.

There are plans for a separate version of the Poweramp EQ that can be installed as a stand-alone app.
