Using the rating tag

Recommended Posts

Why Poweramp is not using rating tag? I have a huge (>2600) collection of tracks, they all are rated. But if I move track (or change microSD), rating will be losed. Problem can be solved with using rating tag, I guess. What do you think?

Poweramp has never used the rating tag. I believe Max's reasoning was because it is somewhat non-standard across different file formats (and not supported on some at all).

The most commonly used version is the POPM tag in the ID3 format, and there are third-party apps that can transfer those type of tags to/from Poweramp's database. New Playlist Manager for example.

Thank you, I didn't know. In fact, these apps are enough.
