  1. I think you could just provide seperate sliders for fade out and fade in length, and you'll address everyone's requests.
  2. It's a workaround, yeah. I'm just saying Max should change that.
  3. Yeah, it is displayed that way until you disturb it and Poweramp takes over and changes them all. After that you have no way of getting that individual art back unless you clear art cache, which proves that Max wants it that way, and I don't think it should be that way. It changes art everywhere, not just in the album view, which is not how it should be.
  4. Well, that makes sense in the album view, but songs can and do still have individual art despite being part of an album/EP/whatever the case may be. I don't think it's right to dismiss this complaint as "wrong", rather make the functionality apply to all situations. For example, we can safely assume if a song doesn't have any art, then it should have the album's art. But if songs are tagged with individual art, that art should be shown no matter what, and the album art should be either downloaded from the internet, or chosen by the user based on one of the songs in the album (which would have the album's art in the tag as opposed to individual art.) In the song view I want to see the individual song art if there is any, regardless of the album. Those who always want to see the album art can tag their music appropriately. Or, it can be an option in the settings. This way everyone is satisfied.
  5. I have both Poweramp and Equalizer installed. At one point I turned on the option in Equalizer to play/pause when the volume is muted/unmutes. I didn't like it, so I turned it off, except it keeps doing it. It affects every media player on my device. How do I disable it?
  6. Y'know Max, it's okay if you have to fade the labels between the player view and list view. Nobody's going to be mad, especially if it's an option you can choose to enable or disable.
  7. Dang, alright. Hopefully that comes at some point, mobile gaming is a thing, Discord should support that!
  8. I'm not sure how easy this would be to implement, but if so, could it be done, this way your friends could see what you're listening to through Poweramp. Here's what it looks like with Spotify: so perhaps Poweramp could use a black background.
  9. Basically I would like for the ability to show the full resolution album art in the background, as of present you can only get a very slightly blurred version in the background. I would also like the ability to allow the background to show on all screens, not just the main player screen (similar to how the visualization does, or how some themes do.)
  10. Interesting. Sounds like all he needs to do is put it in the UI. Max!!!
  11. @andrewilleyI think your approach would be pretty much correct. I still want to stress the album artist splitting to work the way I mentioned before, just because I really want to be able to tag songs with multiple albums and/or compilations. Other than that I don't see anything else to say except to give Max a ping. @maxmp
  12. Considering such a checkbox already exists for the Artist image, I don't see why it can't work the same way for albums.
  13. All this confusion is precisely why I made this simple explanation...
  14. I do think this is getting a bit overcomplicated. Just split the artist like Genres are already. For album artists, maybe something else needs to be done, but I don't think it is in the same realm as splitting artists. For album artists I suppose they should just stay together unless there are multiple album tags, in which case I would personally see it best to have them progress in order. For example if you have a song on a collection as well as an album, you could put the album as "album; collection" and the album artist as "artist; various artists" and Poweramp would see that they're in the same order and associate them accordingly. I think that's a good solution personally. It still keeps Poweramp's library management miles ahead of others without having to explain some complex system. And if you're wondering "what if an album is by multiple artists as a whole" well, just put them in the tag together. Keeping individual artists separate isn't really necessary for albums, I don't think, since the album will be shown under all artists who have contributions under it anyway (based on the track tags.) Edit: and go ahead and put some toggles in settings, if you want. I think splitting artists should be standard behaviour, maybe options for album artist splitting are warranted though.
  15. I have songs which have their own individual track art, as well as different art for the whole album. When I change the album cover image, I don't want all the tracks to lose their unique art (unless they don't have art tagged), instead I want the album art to be shown in the album view, but the track art shown on the individual tracks. Why can't Poweramp keep these separate? I didn't even realize this was an issue until recently, because it works fine until you try to change one of the song's album art, then suddenly they all change for no reason.
  16. It's so that you can have an album by various artists for example, but still have the proper artist tag when looking at the individual song.
  17. Yes for normal artists, but I mean for album artist. I would want to be able to tag a song that's on two albums by two different artist.
  18. How will splitting the album artist work, will it go in order? For example if you have two album tags and two album artist, the first corresponds to the first, and the second to the second?
  19. Just some input, could we have the option to use "/" as a separator if it does get implemented? I personally do not have any artists in my library at all with "/" in their names, and I use "/" as my separator everywhere else, so I want them to be the same for the sake of consistency. Even if this is not enabled by default, it would be very nice to have it enableable using a toggle switch in Settings.
  20. @maxmp is an Android TV compliant UI and seperate build on Google Play for it possible in the future?
  21. So I decided to give the app a try, but one thing I would really need to get going is a simple button to import all my presets from Poweramp. Preferably, I'd like to be able to sync all changes with the main Poweramp app. Is this something that's coming in the future?
  22. OhhhS***T dude! Now this, I HAVE to try!
  23. @maxmp He just mentioned he is using the Play Store and not any 3rd party APKs
  24. @maxmp I know this is an old thread, but I'm bumping it anyway because this is still a valid feature request.
