Luucas
An example: [01:23.847]<01:23.847>Hoping<01:24.547> I'll<01:25.005> find<01:26.430> Similar to Apple Music recent lyrics update Edited February 1, 2023 by Luucas
andrewilley
No, that is not something the lyric feature of Poweramp is currently intended to do. The Lyrics display can be synced line-by-line, but there is no 'Karaoke style' word-by-word sing-along feature. Andre

andrewilley
Perhaps a Karaoke app might be more suitable for your needs rather than a high-end player aimed at audiophiles? But you never know, maybe someday. Andre

Solution maxmp Posted February 2, 2023 Solution Share Posted February 2, 2023 @Luucas I added this to TODO, but the next 2 major updates are pretty much feature packed already, so I can't say when this will be available. Thanks for the request!
Jet_Mouse
Is there any update on if/when this feature will be added? It seems like the SYLT tag is broken even worse than Enhanced LRC - if you try to add multiple timestamps per line, it'll put each word on a different line, which is annoying. This would be a great feature for the Japanese music I listen to because I don't speak Japanese, and that makes it really hard to follow the lyrics. andrewilley
@Jet_Mouse I don't think there are any imminent plans to support "karaoke style" word-by-word highlighting, but you never know! Currently, if you add word-based timestamps using the format "[01:23.847]<01:23.847>Hoping<01:24.547> I'll<01:25.005> find<01:26.430>" the timecodes within <> are simply ignored and not displayed. Jet_Mouse
Yeah, I noticed. That's for the LRC format. There's another way to do it where the timestamps and lyrics are embedded as a tag, and that's the broken one.
