Romain1998
Hello, I was just wondering if you could please allow us to choose 16 and 32 Hi-Res bit depths aswell. Thanks in advance.
andrewilley
PA can usually choose whatever options the hardware/firmware supports. You didn't provide any info on what device you are using though. Andre
Romain1998
@andrewilley But we can't choose the bit depth on our own. I have a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.
andrewilley
What output mode are you trying, and what options do you see? Have you tried enabling or disabling DVC? I assume you are talking about direct wired output, not Bluetooth by the way. @maxmp might be able to throw some more light on this, but the Android ROM version might also play a part in what options the firmware supports. Romain1998
@andrewilley I didn't precised which Hi-Res output, because my request included all Hi-Res outputs. I disabled DVC, but I never had the option to choose the bit depth, unlike in Chromecast output.
maxmp
At this moment, 99% Android devices require specific (usually 24 or 32bit) sample rate for Hi-Res activation. Selecting other bit depth will reset it to non-Hi-Res mode (that is detectable, in hard cases, only via capturing the device output and analyzing spectrum). Romain1998
@maxmp OK. Then, could you at least force it to 32 bit?
