@Loweaul thanks for the report. This kind if firmware issues can be investigated when the ROM/OTA update hits my test devices. Though if this is some beta firmware, that’s a norm - Xiaomi likes to break their media notifications in the test roms.

@den711 смотрите пост выше. Спасибо!

@Jaxas now we advanced few builds forward - are you able to reproduce this with build 976?
-
@Bluepoi why? Do you have any music (or audio content) in this format?
-
@Shubam I guess this is probably more about visualization? Usually it's sort of "pulsing" album art + some sort of spectrum visualizations, as can be seen in those YouTube videos.
-
@SAT-Oxford if LRC file is in different folder, it won't be matched by the track file name (this is to avoid matching Track 01.mp3-like named tracks). It will be matched based on track and lrc tags - title, album/artist, and duration +/-2sec.
-
@andrewilley btw mulglar requires you to have appropriate service subscriptions which you must pay for. It just allows you to aggregate that in one place, but of course this most probably violates services TOS/policies.
-
@Алексей Кисилёв Please first add appropriate Murglar folders in Poweramp Settings / Library / Music Folders, then they appear in Poweramp Folders and other categories. Thanks!
-
@NOKIA Poweramp supports LRC files or lyrics embedded into the songs via tags (LRC/synced/plain text) starting from build 948. Thanks!

I was finally able to run AirMusic on my devices (it doesn't work well with Chromecast receivers, but works fine with DNLA/Apple). As it seems, Android duplicates audio for AirMusic before DSP (before Equalizer). Equalizer still runs, but that audio is muted and AirMusic opens additional audio output. If AirMusic advertises its AudioSession as audio players do, Equalizer may handle that output as well.
Alternatively it's possible to handle it via Advanced Player Tracking, I guess, if there will be user requests for this. Thanks!
-
@Slimbo for both Poweramp and Equalizer apps, preamp do that. Thanks!
-
@Rocatah those widget menus are rendered by launcher (as well as widget), so that's question for the launcher. May be there is a setting somewhere or they just choose to hide some buttons for smaller screens.
Poweramp has no playlist widget, just playlist shortcut, though some firmwares group that together with widgets.
-
As Poweramp Equalizer attaches to the player apps and "enhances" their audio session with the DSP, AirMusic should be able to use that, unless something in Android or AirMusic specifically disables DSPs.
@PhilP what is your device/Android variant and AirMusic version? I wasn't able to make this app work on my devices, but I haven't tried all of them.
-
@huoyan1231 technically we can, but reducing block sizes that much will mean we will not have enough frequency resolution, esp. for lower bands, as each FFT "band" becomes 50-100hz and we can't properly handle bass tone, lower graphic bands, or parametric bands on the lower part of spectrum.

@Miguel Nunes there are ZS10 and ZS10 Pro available, but KZ ZS10 Pro is not yet measured by AutoEQ. Poweramp and Equalizer AutoEQ db is updated with each major release, and also it's possible to zip whole AutoEq project and import it via Settings / Audio / Equalizer / Import AutoEq Presets. Thanks!
-
Currently Poweramp always decode to PCM to handle the audio stream uniformly. Even with the exclusive USB-DAC support potentially added to Poweramp, the DSD playback will either require 2 conversions for eq/dsp to work (a pointless battery killer), or all dsp including software volume, DVC, replay gain, etc. will be disabled during such playback, resulting in very rough experience.

@Mikep if you have Developer mode enabled on the phone + Install via ADB option, you can install APKs by issuing "adb install apkname.apk" commands (adb should be available on the PC).
-
@UltraMagnus0001 the upgrade functionality doesn't touch assignments or user created presets. But you can filter out those in the Presets dialog - use Reset button to switch off all filters.
-
Poweramp doesn't use BT addresses as they are not available on many Android devices (esp. on the older Androids), and it's not a good idea to mix named and addressed devices in one database/presets. Still, I may re-add addresses for just the latest Androids, unless it requires some another scary permission, of course.

@andrewz songs delete messaging will be improved in the next betas, thanks for reporting that.
-
@Luke Gary thanks for the request. It's possible, though it has very narrow and specific usage. Some exporting capabilities do exist now, the next steps in this regard would be supporting Equalizer APO format (used by AutoEQ) for exporting - this one is widely supported.
-
@andrewz lyrics_short is used for that menu only. There is just "lyrics" label which is used anywhere else: https://crowdin.com/translate/poweramp-player/6927/enus-cs?filter=basic&value=0#635052 - this one has no length limit.

@1meter thanks for the details.
I tested various outputs on this device, and apart from USB DAC running on 384khz, any other output device (including LDAC) are forced to 48khz. Quick investigation revelead "Dirac" sound effect hanging around globally and forcing audio being 48khz on all times, causing those weird 44.1->48->44.1 or 96->48->96 resamplings. The Dirac effect switch in Settings does nothing (effect is still there, enabled).
The effect can be disabled by "adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.dirac.acs" (+ reboot) and reenabled by "adb shell pm enable com.dirac.acs".
Then you can get Hi-Res output working properly on this device:
-
@Nguyen Huu Hung for the modern Android devices, AudioTrack Output (which is probably already selected by default) is most stable and will handle everything automatically, including LDAC hi-res 96khz, or 44.1/48khz and 16/24bit codecs. I would suggest avoiding touching other output settings if it works on the default ones (and for Samsung it should work fine pretty much with the default settings there).
