Hardware button use

Running the latest dev version on my in-car head unit, which has a hardware "Menu" button.

This invokes the right-hand or "dotted" menu when pressed. It would be rather more useful if it invoked the main menu for music selection etc, as it used to in previous versions.

This is by Android design recommendation apparently; the menu button (if present) is meant to bring up current-screen specific "overflow" features, not overall-app menu functions. The only significant difference is that the three-dots icon list no longer includes Settings, which has been moved to the three-lines icon instead (which is also accessed via the left-edge slide-in function).

Personally I'd prefer one single menu/icon for everything rather than two, but hey I also hate most things about Material Design so who am I to say?
