hammerhead
I just purchased a sandisc 32gig otg drive. I cannot get Poweramp to recognize my drive... When I do a full scan it doesn't show and when I tap on the folders and library button it only gives me the internal storage file views.... Can anyone please help? My details are as follows- Nexus 5 lollipop 5.1, not rooted, nexus media importer, es file explorer. run2jeepn
Do you have the unlocker installed? If so try un-installing it and then check for the USB... Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/7614-usb-otg/#findComment-27871 Share on other sites
andrewilley
Removing the Poweramp unlocker should not make any difference. Do you see your OTG drive within the Settings > Folders and Library > Music Folders list, and can you tick it? If not, Poweramp will not be able to scan it. Disturbd1
I'm having the exact same issue on my Nexus 10. I've got an app that auto mounts and I've got the ability to see the drive in ES File Explorer. My only hunch is that Poweramp isn't configured to prompt for persimmon to access the otg drive, the way ES does upon opening and navigating to it. Magadaner
Not all devices have in build OTG support, but most devices can see it. So, for Poweramp to see OTG , you need to have such a device. andrewilley
You could also try the latest alpha-test release of Poweramp, which should now support USB OTG music directly. http://forum.powerampapp.com/index.php?/files/category/2-alpha-test-builds-of-poweramp-v3/ Andre Link to comment https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/7614-usb-otg/#findComment-32327 Share on other sites
