PA has already introduced an API that would allow external apps to source and provide lyrics for the currently playing song. I'm not aware of any other apps that support this feature as yet though. maxmp Posted Monday at 05:07 PM Share Posted Monday at 05:07 PM The problem with downloading lyrics is that legitimate lyrics providers want unrealistic $$ for the lyrics (like $10 for 100) from 3rd party apps or huge (100k$+) payments for volume purchases. I don’t think this is somewhat we want to add as paid feature to Poweramp yet, though if some lyrics provider appears with the reduced appetite - it’s possible. As for non-legitimate lyrics sourcing - some such apps may live for many years on Play, and some are banned immediately - with the developer account lifetime ban.
