Does Poweramp have an API?

Yes it does have an API (see linked posts above) but the media control app on WearOS watches already does the job reasonably well - at least as far as Title, Artist, Album Cover, Play/Pause, Next/Prev Track, and view the current Category list anyway.

well turns out the fitbit versa 4 despite from google doesnt seem to run wearos or in fact anything decent and is totally lobotomized, for a watch with an MSRP over 200€ that's dumb, so I am trying to hack myself something with tasker, or returning the damn thing

 

Edit: I have Control working, but I dont seem to get the broadcast intent from Poweramp regarding its status in Tasker
