A suggestion about EQ

Recommended Posts

Yes, it is the best music player, maybe it should be better:

now it starts to support Hi-Res devices and files, so the frequency range of EQ should be relaxed to at least 10Hz-20kHz, which is reasonable and necessary for high quality music playback.

As of latest build:

  • max. parametric band frequency increased to 24kHz

One could argue that with Hi Res music and Hi Res hardware support, that the need for such drastic equalization should me minimized. That is kind of the point of the inherent cost of such certified devices. Equalizers are a "fix" for inferior hardware, or location-specific issues.

Graphic Bands can be set from a start point of between 5-200Hz up to a highest value of 14-20kHz, with anything from 5 to 32 steps between. Parametric centre frequencies can be set from 20Hz to 24kHz.

Thanks! I should check for software updates more frequently to avoid missing feature updates.

There is no perfection in this world, and people always need some freedom to fit their needs, even if it is a small adjustment, but it may be a necessary option.
