How to turn on setting for Poweramp to play music when pressing the earphone button.

Every time I plugged in an earphone and press the button, my stock music player is what plays, not Poweramp. How can I change it to Poweramp?

Set PA as your default music player, then set it to respond to button press. Go to settings, headset /Bluetooth. respon to buttons.

And if you find the stock music player still tries to stick its nose in where it isn't wanted, just disable it in the Android app settings (you probably won't be able to delete it unless your device is rooted, but you can disable it).
