radio streaming doesn't work

Hi!

I try to stream my favorite radio station via Poweramp - but I can't get it running.

The url that I found is http://www.ndr.de/resources/metadaten/audio/m3u/ndr1niedersachsen.m3u

When I put this url to VLC the stream starts playing immediatly. Poweramp accepts the url when adding it into the streams section but it plays nothing.

Can anybody help me to hear my favorite radio station in my favorite music player?

I downloaded the m3u file which is a playlist, this contained a single URL which points to http://ndr-ndr1niedersachsen-hannover.cast.addradio.de/ndr/ndr1niedersachsen/hannover/mp3/128/stream.mp3 which plays nicely.

@maxmp is the playlist broken or is it PA which isn't able to read a .m3u with just a URL in it?

That M3U file works fine for me, I just downloaded it (i.e. ndr1niedersachsen.m3u ) and placed it inside my normal PA Playlists subfolder. A quick rescan and there it was, with the radio station showing as the only item inside the Playlist.

Or you could extract the direct link for station stream (http://ndr-ndr1niedersachsen-hannover.cast.addradio.de/ndr/ndr1niedersachsen/hannover/mp3/128/stream.mp3) from within the M3U text file, and paste it into PA's 'Add Stream URL' feature if you prefer.

It played "A Walk in the Park" by the Nick Straker band by the way, then "Perfect" by Fairground Attraction, and "I Can See Clearly Now". I like your taste in music stations!

@Elmar Moser That M3U file is merely a container (playlist file) holding the actual stream link, duplicated three times for some reason. You could download the file bayern1obb_1.m3u to your local device and PA would pick up the contents as a playlist, or just add the actual URL that is contained in the M3U file, which is https://dispatcher.rndfnk.com/br/br1/obb/mp3/low .
