Now that i see these posts, i have encountered the same on my  virtual test devices . Using v829. When Poweramp installs, the storage is unticked which is strange too as no media will be found on the initial scan.

Can I suggest you uninstall and reinstall Powramp. this may clear some old Poweramp  stuff getting in the way

Given I cannot get the sample app to run, I copied the createPlaylistAndAddToIt() routine.

Stepping though this, the Playlist is created without any issues. However, inserting into this playlist still fails with an unknown Uri message.

Is it me or is there still an issue?

In trying to load the powerampapi_example into Android Studio, the following error occurs

Error:Content is not allowed in prolog.

Looking at the log, the following line is repeated many times

Caused by: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; systemId: file:/C:/Users/Theo.Enermax/Downloads/powerampapi-master/poweramp_api_example/poweramp_api_lib/src/main/AndroidManifest.xml; lineNumber: 1; columnNumber: 1; Content is not allowed in prolog.

 

the content of the above manifgest.xml is 

../../../../poweramp_api_lib/AndroidManifest.xml

Any advice?

If you bought through Google App Store then your purchase will be there. Simply launch the store app and look at My Apps. Scroll through the list of all your apps, purchased or free, that you have ever downloaded.

Long click any track, album, artist, genre and select "add to playlist" then either a new playlist or an existing one. Give it a new name or accept the default. Job done

In testing the latest version of New Playlist Manager on android AVD (Android Virtual Device) Marsmallow, I notice that when I select Update mp3 tag, it generates a crash for Poweramp.

It appears to be related to a permission issue when my app tries to access the provider //com.maxmpz.audioplayer.data/.  Anyone using my app with Marshmallow? Are you having this issue? 

I will post this also in the developer section with some additional detail.

Some things to try to isolate the culprit

- did you try other players? do they behave as expected or do they have the same issue?. If they also play through both channels with the balance left then the problem lies with your device or headphones.

- did you try different headphones?

- do you have an alternative device where you could try Poweramp

cheg, just tested this and found no issues whatsoever. Just to reiterate, Equaliser > Tone/Vol, Balance knob. Works as expected
