FTP server as music source

Trouble with this approach is that you would need to have your server connected all the time. Each time it disconnects/connects, android and Poweramp will kick off a rescan and update (add/delete) its music database. Any playlists created with a mounted drive would not survive this process. However, creating smb playlists using my app would work fine if Poweramp was able to play these. This is a requested feature so who knows.....

There are music players that work fine on this, i.e.: SambaPlayer.

I have all my music stored in a USB 3 Samba HDD connected to the router (it's always online), but can't access it with Poweramp :(

Javier

Hello, I wish they could add the function:

- Use FTP server as music source.
- Manage files of a music source via local FTP server.

Thank you very much!

Regards

I am currently using Neutron that allows me to connect to a router via FTP / SMB and access the library as if it were a folder more.

Also I always prefer Poweramp but until we have an update that allows me access via FTP / SMB have to use Neutron. Hopefully soon they can include that function.

Thank you very much for your help, greetings.
