mikjsmith
Hi When I long press on a track or folder I don't see an option to add to playlist.why is this? Thanks for any pointers
andrewilley
You have altered the '+Playlist' function to insert the new content at the start of a playlist, hence the prompt has changed to the rather less obvious '+ At Start' wording. You can use that mode, or change it back to adding to the End of playlists by long-pressing on the icon if you want. Andre
andrewilley
@maxmp This is becoming quite a common misunderstanding. If you get a chance to look at that list of minor tweaks and mods that I sent a over few months ago, one of them was to revise the visual icons for '+Playlist' (and for '>>Queue') so they become a bit more self-explanatory with the main wording still being visible after the user has changed the mode: With the hint wording in the long-press popup also giving a bit more detail, such as using "Insert into Playlist at Start", Add to Playlist at End" and "Insert Shuffled into Playlist". Same for the enqueue long-press popup. Andre
maxmp
@andrewilley thanks for the reminder, will try to add this small change into the current beta cycle. EDIT: unfortunately adding alternative hint labels in the long-press-selection-mode is not currently possible for these kind of buttons with the selectable actions (as button and label is "physically" the same, also changing size for a larger label does not look well). We can't smoothly animate different labels there and no such animation exists, so I'll keep the current behavior. Icons slightly changed though.
