andrewilley
What options have you got enabled in the Settings=>Album Art menu? There are several options that allow higher resolution images to be used. I assume there is only one embedded image in the file? Fitzian
What happens when you check the high resolution tick-box?

Fitzian
…then you can see that the embedded image has not been downscaled (to 834x824). As you checked high resolution box you see this image accurately as 1668x1648. Exactly as indicated on Info/Tags screen. I don’t know why in the album art picker the embedded art is even selectable at a resolution downscaled by half (without high resolution box checked), but the art already exists in the tags at full resolution and that’s what Poweramp will use. Ignore what the album art picker says, here. The high resolution box is really only a filter for the album art Poweramp searches for when connected to WiFi. andrewilley
I'd still like confirmation that there is only one embedded image in the files. Could you share a sample file? Andre
