Grimjouw777
Greetings! Recently I bought Hiby FC3 USB DAC and got a problem. Hi-res output always shows 16/48 with all music (DSD, 24 bit, 32 bit). Could you help me to fix it pls? I use USB DAC with Meizu 16th. (Android 8.1). Maybe it's a phone's fault? Thank you

andrewilley
What Output mode are you using in PA Settings > Audio > Output? Does changing it help? Try enabling or disabling DVC. Andre
Grimjouw777
Thanks for your reply! I use Hi-res output mode-> USB DAC. Changing to AudioTrack or OpenSL doesn't help. Enabling or disabling DVC doesn't help too. When DVC is enable the sound become hoarse.

maxmp
@Grimjouw777 I guess this meizu @ Android 8 just doesn’t support hi-res sampling rates.
andrewilley
Keep DVC turned off. Try going into Settings > Audio > Outputs and restore default settings. In the high-res settings panel, what frequency do you have selected? Often frequency and bitrate are paired so you can only manually change the frequency setting, and the bitrate will follow accordingly. Otherwise, as Max says, could just be the older phone/Android version. Andre

I guess you're right, the phone has a fixed frequency. What a pity!
