dethour
build-900-arm64-play Xiaomi Redmi 9 Android 10 Stock rom Freshly installed Poweramp with default settings. When I play any music and increase/decrease the volume, there is a slight cut in the music and it continues with the new volume. It isn't stop, lag or delay, it just really fast cut and it happened when I use the physical volume button/built-in volume spinner. I don't know how to explain it. Like in alarm app, there's a crescendo option where the music volume increase real smoothly, but this cut is like the volume is at 10%>abrupt cut>20% and the volume transition isn't smooth at all and it just skip the middle ground. I can't really explain it well. Also, upon turning off the dvc option, the problem disappeared but the overall volume become lower. Really appreciate it you could look into it. andrewilley
What output method are you using (OpenSL ES, High-Res, etc) and are you using the fine-step option or just the default system volume steps? John Titor
I can confirm the same but it doesn't happen on Hi-res output/AudioTrack with Float32 sample format. dethour
@andrewilley I'm testing with OpenSL ES, AudioTrack, and AAudio and they all have the slight cut. I'm using the default system volume steps. Also, just like Someguyonline, it doesn't happened with Hi-res output.
