Phil G
Hi I've just got the new version and struggled a bit trying to get my folder hierarchy back but got there eventually. So after a few tracks this morning suddenly the player seems to have gone into a karrioke mode where I can only hear very faint vocals but the backing track is still normal. What's happened and how do I get it back to normal? Thanks in advance.
vAmp
Haha, that's not a bug, it's a feature.
Phil G
How embarrassing! An unhappy coincidence, turns out it was a failure of my earphone cable! So can't blame it on V3! However, it is a shame intuitive play controls have been replaced with swipes which you don't know about unless you read help or tips, that's not good UX design. Problem with listening to forum users is that the vast majority of users only come to a forum when they have a problem, it's only enthusiasts who spend all their time here, the rest of us just get on and use the app as part of their day. Perhaps a classic switch would keep people happy?
maxmp
There is no such option and Poweramp doesn't change it's audio settings by itself. It can have equalizer preset assigned to songs and outputs, but they can't change just vocals that much (and you need to assign them at first place). By your description it's a DSP of some sort, so please check: - stereoX knob on 2nd Poweramp equalizer tab - set to 0% - reverb on 3rd Poweramp equalizer tab - disable (press REVERB until everything is grayed out). - still ensure equalizer is e.g. on Flat preset or just hit RESET on equalizer page. If this doesn't help, it's a system level DSP effect or hardware issue (e.g. L+R channels connected somewhere - try other headset).
simplio
A set of SkullCandy earbuds $20-$25 at Walmart) used playing Poweramp sounds like 15 inch woofers with mid and high tweets in a large mahogany wood box. Ear candy.😋🤓
