  1. @MotleyG If you have a Samsung galaxy phone, some of their apps like My file, Phone, Gallery and Voice Recorder that has permission to delete files, all have recycle bin because they understand the importance of files, even if you have deleted it intentionally, there is a time frame to restore it.

Then talk more of deleting files automatically, with no recycle bin, that is drastic, rough play.

Some of us don't have backup, please don't break someone's heart.

If you have any file you no longer want, please delete it yourself.

  2. I don't think this is a good idea for a music player to delete files automatically after playing.

Even if this feature may have a toggle, it will lead to losing of important files for some person who may not know what the function is.

I suggest you do this manually.

Is there a way to make the player stop doing the 'keep the screen always on' once bluetooth disconnects option ?

Yes, you can use Tasker to do that.

You have to create a profile in Tasker that will start music playback (with Poweramp) once a particular bluetooth device is connected.

In that profile, you also have to add Turn Screen On, and launch an app (which will be Poweramp in this case).

In Poweramp, you will set Always keep screen on in this app.

Back In Tasker, set another profile that will close an app (Poweramp) when bluetooth is disconnected.

This will give you what you want.

it's the list of track titles (as text) that I'm interested in, not half a screenful of what is basically .

I'm not saying that the art work should occupy half of the screen in that view, I'm saying, there should be a way to view it in full, maybe as you scroll up, the down page is revealed, and when you scroll down, the top is revealed, not just the centre.Screenshot_20230711-210004_OtoMusic.thumb.jpg.cbaeed7122d71a0f0905af90103e6d42.jpg

  5. @maxmp You are right on point with your response.

What got me with Oto music was how if feels like, the player is suggesting album and artist as if it is AI in realtime.

    And the horizontal scrolling.

Showing you single(s) and featured in.

In Poweramp, the album art at the top of album view, is not shown full, the top and bottom is cut, I think we should be able to see it fully, either when scrolling down or up.

  6. I downloaded oto music from play store today, and I was impressed with some features I saw.

    1) The layout of recently added songs: it's rectangle, with the title of the song placed on the left, album art on the right, blending both with the album art colours.

That page also has, recently played Album and recent artists.

    2) Album and Artist are linked: if you click on an album, or artist, it will show you some of the artists songs, with an option to see all, then below, you will see albums, singles and appears on, all relating to the artist.

    3) Album art and song list blend: The album art at the top, and the song list below, blend simlessly, no line between them.

    4) About Album or Artist: if you are connected to Internet, you can download metadata. (Optional)

    5) List of upcoming songs: I have seen this request on this forum, I like this feature too.

I was jealous, @Max please do something.

  7. Alright, I thought you were asking about first user of the app who is still active, but even at that, I don't think Max would have counted, because he's the developer.

My first time using Poweramp is not 2013, that's for when I bought the unlocker.

In-fact, before buying the unlocker, I dogged and searched for cracked version but to no avail, I was scared of purchasing anything online, because back then, I had no idea, but had to take the risk, and I'm glad I did, I have never regretted my purchase, unlike Nova launcher and the rest.

After Poweramp unlocker, I started going for paid apps like tasker, Nova, maid cleaner, du battery widget, etc, I no longer use them, apart from Poweramp and Tasker.

    I love this app.

  8. Same here, It was love at first sight, then my phone was LG Optimus 3D, I love listening to music nonstop (Cross-fade), I only get that from radio station or DJ mixed CDs, back then Android phone was not common, so having one was a thing, and playing your selection of music nonstop from a phone was mind blowing, after my trial period expired, I was restless, I looked for any means to make it work, the pop up keeps coming, I had to visit the bank because I don't have a master card to purchase online, after that I did get the unlocker, and as the story goes, the rest is history.

    I love Poweramp.

    Thanks Max.

  9. @Pedro Simon Antonio I agree with you, Aaudio sounds better to me than Hi-Res on my Samsung galaxy m51, even when I was using M30, but the problem is, when Poweramp is playing and I receive a call with WhatsApp or regular phone calls, at the end (most times) Poweramp will be playing with no sound, I have to force close the app in system settings then open Poweramp again to get sound.

Doing that every time it happens is annoying so I am sticking with Hi-Res.

  10. @Larry Davis you are not missing anything, just go further by clicking on at start, then your playlist will appear.

what (at start) means is that, the song will be inserted at the top of your chosen Playlist.

You can change this to shuffle (which will insert any added song(s) randomly) by also long-pressing on at start.

  11. I don't have a device which supports aptx adaptive, but if you have, rather than your Asus Zenfone 8, you can try it out.

This issue could be a compatibility issue, since you've tried all suggested ideas.

One for the road, try playing with Equ and Tone turned off.

If you have any third party Eq app, turn them off, example, Poweramp Eq app, Wavelet, Dolby Atmos etc.

  12. We are talking about a cleaner library, but the owner of this topic never mentioned hiding files with an unknown artist tag, but instead, number of songs an artist has, it does not make sense to me, and I suggested setting tags right, the silly name caller did not see that, because I said I don't use various artists in my tag.

Did you forget that it's just my opinion?

  13. @MotleyG I am not against hiding, I was against the reason for hiding, for the reason that an artist has few songs does not mean, it should not be seen, I saw it as being discriminating towards that artist, so to put it right, if they are not worthy of seeing, then delete them, hence my suggestion, not that I am asking anyone to delete songs.

Poweramp is not perfect, neither does any other music player, I only shared what I am doing in my library to keep it clean, but I am being told that (Suggesting that I should (for example) delete 1,000+ files from my 'Singles' folder because I only have one or two songs by any given artist is just plain silly.)

If I should use the word (plain S*lly) on anyone here on thisforum, I will be cautioned, that's why I said, I'm not okay with the fact that someone has to say what is not to be said in the forum.
