      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code. It is hoped this will be ready for final beta-testing by the end of the May. See forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Hi,I have some issues with my Gateway Pro BT (bluetooth adapter) in my car. I use it with my Xperia Z5, and each time (or almost each time) it connects to the Gateway, the music restart but it pauses 2 seconds later, and this start/restart process never stops.I have to:- shutdown bluetooth on the phone + close all the app and restart bluetooth- or even restart the phone when the first solution is not enoughI tried to remove all potential restart option in both my phone and app , but I still encounter the same issue. I want to precise that: - Power Amp works perfect with my previous sony audio system and philips BT adapter for my home HiFi system - You Tube amp works fine with the Gateway when Poweramp get mad - I wonder if it may be linked to games still running in background (star wars force collection or dragon ball dokkan battle), that works in fullscreen and force to play there own sound All help is welcomed.
  2. I would like the time tracker when paused to stay solid. The reason is that i listen to audio books but need to pause occasionally and switch to music. I take a screenshot of my progress on the audiobook and switch to music. With a blinking time i must take a few screenshots before the time is recorded. Another option that would be great would be a book mark option where the audio file is started where it was last bookmarked the next time it is played.
  3. Phone: Blackview BV6000 Android: 6.0 Poweramp: 2.0.10 build 588 Bluetooth Headset: Plantronics M90 Hi, The pause / resume button does not work on my Bluetooth headset properly with Poweramp. They do work when I can see the Poweramp screen i.e. before the phone screen times out and goes black. After it goes black though, the pause button does nothing. The pause button does work properly with a wired headset and does work with my Bluetooth headset on the stock music player that came with the phone, but not with Poweramp. The setting has of course been selected to "Respond To Buttons", but only does so for a minute before the screen times out and goes black. Note: The phone does use a lock screen, but there is no passcode needed when the bluetooth headset is connected. Thanks, Paul
  4. Hi guys, I am using Poweramp for a long time now and I recently bought a new car. When using bluetooth i can get PA to respond to the pause button, but when I press the next or previous buttons it just pauses instead of going to another song. I tried it with other music players and there is no problem with them, this annoying bug only happends with PA. Can it be fixed? Thanks!
  5. When i press button for next or previous track or play pause button it responds some seconds later. For selective tracks. Not for all. For example i am playing a track 'A', I press next, track'A' keep playing for two three seconds. Then track'B' start, i press previous, track'A' start playing without any delay. This happens even when i swipe album art for changing song. And similar problem occurs when i press shuffle the graphic doesn't change but function is displayed accurately.
  6. Hi Everyone I don't know if this is Poweramp bug or device inheritance, anyway, when we connect the device to an audio amplifier via 3.5mm output, an unpleasant pop noise is heard after some delay whenever westop or pause, and immediately when the list is finished. This noise can be harmful to speaker system if the amplifier volume is set high. Please use some muting techniques on the part of Poweramp to avoid this annoyance. This bug has persisted even with the latest version of Poweramp, 2.0.9-build-534. Thanks for any help. Device Info: Samsung GT-S6802 Android Ver. 2.3.6, Build GINGERBREAD.JPLK4 Kernel Ver. 2.6.35.7
  7. Problem: When pressing 'next' or swiping to the next track, it takes 5-10 seconds to switch. Meaning that after pressing the next button, the current song continues to play for waaaay too long. It's so annoying, especially when you don't want to listen to that song. I have about 20GB of music and own the full version of Power Amp. Why am I having to put up with this bullshit for a paid app? Fix this issue.
  8. I have an (AptX) BT adapter in my car, however when I turn off the car the power is cut to the adapter. The phone (Xperia Z1, kitkat) doesn't realise this until about 30 seconds later (I guess the connection times out?). Poweramp then pauses, however the widget/notification/app doesn't show it - the play/pause button doesn't change to play. Next time BT is connected, it doesnt auto play. Pressing the play/pause button (still showing pause) causes the song to play from the begining. To get around this I've had llama (an events app) send the media pause command when the BT device disconnects. This results in about 2 seconds of music playing from the phone speaker 30 seconds after I turn off my car, but at least Poweramp properly pauses and autoplays next time it connects. If you can't reproduce, I'll bring the BT adapter inside and reproduce while phone is hooked upto ADB and dump the logcat, let me know.
  9. Hi there, really hoping somebody can give me a secret-sauce recipe to fix my problem. Samsung Galaxy S4, recently updated itself to kernel 4.3 When playing techno or Pink Floyd where the songs are intended to blend together, Poweramp inserts a brief "pause" command when switching from one track to the next. I know it's a "pause" command because my car stereo is showing the command and then it quickly disappears as Poweramp moves on to the next track. This behavior does NOT occur with headphones plugged in. Strangely, I have seen Poweramp not insert the pause on a couple of occasions where the next track came up, but then the next couple songs come along on the gapless album and the pauses just come right back. Having it avoid the pause is the rarity, the brief pause is the dominant behavior about 19 times out of 20 (or worse). I tried messing with various lock settings, BT metadata, and even tried uninstalling random apps that I thought might have some access to Bluetooth. The only thing that I know for certain is that this problem started immediately after my phone updated from 4.2x to 4.3. Wish I could go back... Help, please? Tom
  10. Hi Guys: I hope you can help me with this absolutely infuriating problem. My Mazda 3 music via Bluetooth is paired with my S3 and I am using Poweramp. I have all the headset settings enabled and audio settings. However, when I hit the "Next track" control on my car steering wheel, power amp switches to the next track correctly, but immediately pauses playback on the next track! Why does it do that? (I have the pause setting set only for soft pause for navigation etc..) There is no issue with the iphone or when using Winamp. This is a phenomenal product...but it's really killing me with this one issue. Regards,
  11. My (Full featured/bought) Poweramp on my Sony Xperia ZL has a weird feature. Only in my car (Ford Focus) it starts playing via bluetooth, so far everything is ok. At the start of a new song within a second pause is pressed (actually visible) and immediately pressed again so the song continues. Problem is you have a second interrupt. This only happens with setting CyanogenMod Metachanged Intent on the selection 'Sony #3' in the bluetooth settings of Poweramp. I've selected this setting because only with this setting the song and artist info is shown on my car display. If I select any other option the info is gone, but the strange pause behaviour is also fixed.
  12. I have seen some other issues with Mazda Bluetooth integration, but none describe this exact issue. I'm not even positive it is a Poweramp bug, but it might be or there might be a way to workaround in the settings. Phone: Samsung Galaxy S3 Android Version 4.1.1Stock ROM from AT&TPoweramp: v2.0.9, build 525 Mazda CX-9 - 2013 The issue is this: When I change tabs on my Mazda screen, it is supposed to pause playback by sending a pause to the player. What happens is different if Poweramp is in the foreground or running in the background: If running in the foreground, it pauses for a second, then resumes playing for 5 seconds, then pauses for goodIf running in the background, it puases for a second, then resumes playing forever in the background. When I return to the Bluetooth tab on my Mazda screen, it sends another play/pause message and either resumes music (for scenario 1) or pauses it (for scenario 2) I have tried several headset and audio focus setting to no avail, but perhaps there is a setting combination that might work that someone can suggest. I recognize this may be a Mazda bug (but it works perfectly with default player) -- but since the behavior is different within Poweramp between if it is running in the foreground or not. By the way, I'm OK with the result in the foreground scenario, even though it is weird it puses for a moment and then plays for about 5 seconds and then pauses again on its own. Thank you in advance.
  13. Widget Restart

I have an issue with the lockscreen widget Every time i use the start or the pause button, the widget resets my lockscreen and returns to the main widget that is seen when i'm in the lockscreen. Also, every time that happens, my ringtone mode resets from whatever to sound + vibrating. It's really annoying sometimes that i have to set it straight again every time and have to swipe to the widget again when pausing a song. I have the 2.0.9-build-534 version of Poweramp, a Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100G Android Version is 4.3 and I have the Cyanogenmod 10.2 rom from 06.10.2013 (october) Thanks in advance ^^
  14. Can u consider adding the option to set the lockscreen as the default lockscreen? The amp lockscreen looks awesome but is only there when I play music, even then it doesn't show up sometimes... it sometimes disappear after I pause the music. I would love it if it can be always there so I don't have to unlock the screen and type in the pins number in when I want to play the music.
  15. Hi, I use audible.com to listen to books in the car, and one thing I really enjoy about that app being used in the car is that when I turn off my car, the app automatically pauses the book. I learned that it did this not by sensing when power was removed which I thought at first was how it was doing it, but instead that it did it based on my car kit's audio headset disconnection. Note that my car does NOT support A2DP which Poweramp does support pausing on disconnection of, but my car DOES support regular bluetooth headset. So can you please add an option to pause on bluetooth headset disconnect? Thanks! Justin
