  1. Hey Max! You said that the "Hi-Res" Output of PA bypasses the Android mixer and resampling. When I'm using the Hi-Res Output for output device: Bluetooth and manually setting up Sample Rate as per audio file rate (E.g. 44.1 kHz), the PA Resampler is getting bypassed, but the Audio Info shows that the Hi-Res Output is resampled from 44.1 kHz to 96kHz. My question is how the audio is getting resampled? Is it resampling by SOC or Android mixer?
  2. I've got fairly large fingers. So it's hard to manipulate the tiny equalizer controls on the program when I need to. On the other hand, the volume control is this big, easily controlled widget in the bottom center. So how about this? Every selection (including volume) starts as a small icon above the large controller in the bottom center. Then, when you tap one of them, it replaces whatever's in the bottom, becoming the main control. This allows people with large fingers the fine control over every function on that screen that they want.
  3. Any chance we can view the now playing list like you can in android auto in the app? I know the long way to do it (queue the playlist> manually shuffle the list> play from the top but like I said it's a long way to an option that exists already since it's available in android auto. Sorry if there is a setting to do it I missed. Thanks
  4. Hello everybody, I got a new Android phone and wasn't happy with the volume and lack of bass when running Poweramp through my car's Bluetooth audio. I've taken the following steps to improve the issue: -Disabled Absolute Volume Control in Android dev options. - Turned off EQ in Poweramp because the preamp was set to a negative value, I may play around with EQ later. -Currently have DVC turned off and Headroom gain set to zero because the default -6 db was the main factor killing my volume (would love advice on this setting). My questions: any lovers of loud bass heavy music with other suggestions on increasing volume without losing sound quality? Will my changes stay permanent or reset after updates? Why do Poweramp and Android combine forces to shush my music (ironic given the name POWER AMP)?
  5. I'm running the latest version of Poweramp on Android (non-Google version) and have tried every playlist file format under the sun exported from MusicBee (.m3u, .m3u8, .pla, mbp, etc) and all fail to be recognized by Poweramp in Android. All my music syncs and plays directly via USB from MusicBee perfectly fine as a virtual device. Steps to Reproduce Issue: Export playlist file(s) from MusicBee Plug in Pixel 4 and enable file transfer on Pixel Drag playlist file to mounted Pixel 4 directory (mtp:..) via Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon PC running WINE Reboot Pixel 4 Open Poweramp and run Full Rescan Open playlist and it is empty while the music files are still in library Run Resolve/rescan within playlist and it still remains empty It's worth noting, trying to sync directly via MusicBee also fails with the following error lines within log file: 12/27/2020 2:48:30 PM - MTP device detection failed=Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {0AF10CEC-2ECD-XXXX-XXXX-3XXXXXXXX} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG). 12/27/2020 2:49:10 PM - Add playlist "C:\users\joe\Desktop\MusicBee\Playlists\Testplaylist.mbp" General failure. [P:\Music\Playlists\Testplaylist.mbp] 12/27/2020 2:49:10 PM - General failure. [P:\Music\Playlists\Testplaylist.mbp] This MusicBee sync error is the same regardless of file format and I'm sure is related to what is happening when the Full Rescan in Poweramp fails to load the playlists from the .m3u files moved over manually. Haven't found much of anything online in terms of how to workaround that error within Linux + WINE. Example MusicBee .m3u8 playlist file: T:\iTunes\iTunes Music\Artist1\Album1\2-04 Song (Live).m4a T:\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music\The Elders\Unknown Album\Song1.m4a ... Does anyone know any other workarounds for Poweramp to move playlist files from Linx Mint(Ubuntu) WINE to Android? Would be happy to build a bash job to run each time I want to update playlists if it's a directory or syntax issue in the files themselves, but for whatever reason every playlist I've tried is being rejected by Poweramp. Is there at least a way to filter some sort of 'tag' or 'label' within Poweramp so I can theoretically simulate playlist creation that way? Any help would be really appreciated on this.
  6. Hi, I've investigated another thread on this but as this was last year, the solutions do not seem to work with my phone. I have a Samsung galaxy s20 ultra. Everything was running fine until it updated to the UI 3.0. Now, when my phone connects to my Sony dsx-a410bt radio, it plays for 2 seconds or so, then is off, on, off, on. I deleted the connection on the phone and connected as new. This time I got the Poweramp Was Killed message. I don't run a battery saver, task killer. I changed an auto disabled on the Full Unlocked version. I tried to connect with the screen on and app running but no joy. I can't even find the setting to disable Poweramp from connecting so I can try something else. It's a real pain and I'd love to fix it. Thank you
  7. - I export playlists to folder download and import again after display is 0 playlists. - Android OS: 10
  8. I have Poweramp on a Samsung Galaxy S9 phone, and I use it to send digital signal out to various external DACs via usb otg cable. I just discovered the Audio Info screen for the first time (after using Poweramp for literally years), and was surprised to see that my 16 / 44.1 files are being upsampled to 48kHz. I found the Resampler in audio settings but it only gives the choice between SW snd SoX resamplers -- no option to disable. Is there no way to disable resampling?
  9. I recently discovered Poweramp in Play Store and I bought the full version instantly. It's the most complete music player on Android, it has a lot of features and I like the UI design a lot. The only thing I miss is a more detailed waveform Seekbar in order to differentiate parts of a song clearly, like in my previous player Mezzo. It would be nice to have it as an option in the Seekbar Style section, for example waveform HD, so anyone can choose.
  10. Since I've started to switch using Poweramp, I've encountered a bothering issue that causes artwork to be heavily scaled down by a half of what the original artwork size was supposed to be, I didn't mind it at first. Until there are a couple of quality artworks that can toned down because of it. I've been trying to reach out other users in different online platforms but their response is almost always turn off your battery saver or it's an app issue that doesn't get fixed. I hope it gets a solution. I'm currently using an Asus Zenfone 4 Max on an Android 8.1 OS.
