twinmatrix Posted August 16, 2016 Share Posted August 16, 2016 I'm looking into upgrading to a phone with a better DAC/headphone jack audio output. However, I read that Poweramp uses its own codecs. Does that mean that regardless of which phone I pick, it will have the same sound quality? For example, I'm looking at LG V10 for the sweet DAC, but I read that Poweramp isn't able to access it. Another one I'm looking at is Sony Xperia Z5, but again, if Poweramp uses its own codec, will I even notice any difference upgrading from my Galaxy S5? (To be honest, the headphone audio from my S5 is really very subpar.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
