dunaybd
On a virtual machine, my music is located in /mnt/shared/AndroidMusic. Poweramp only looks below /storage/emulated/0, and doesn't see my music. Any suggestions? Soft link?
andrewilley
Sounds like a good idea. I assume you don't see the path to your storage device in the list at all as it's non-standard? Andre
dunaybd
Yes. The Android emulator in Linux (VBox) can easily share my music with my Android, but does it in /mnt/shared/ . Of course, I can play music in Linux using lots of applications, but Poweramp is really so good I'd like to use it. The other benefit to playing music through the emulator, is that it let's me know what music is a problem for my Android players. Poweramp is the most flexible player I've found, but I still have a number of music files at play fine on Linux, but won't on Android. Google music originally was pretty flexible, but started to be more restrictive. For example, much of my old music had the "Artist" property filled out, but not "Album Artist". Google music player would not play those files.
