andrewilley Posted February 1 Share Posted February 1 They are indeed useful. You can configure the available buttons using PA Settings=>Misc=>Buttons. The main three (Play/Pause, Next and Previous) are pre-defined by Android Auto, but the outer two can be configured how you want them (including support for four more buttons using the AA buttons 'overflow' item). Note: due to the way Android works, the chosen extra buttons will be the same across Statusbar Notifications, Watch screens, Android Auto, etc. Depending on your car, you may also be able to simply double-press on the steering wheel's + and - buttons to change Category.
