Aller2TeaM
Max, what do you think about possibility/usability of changing tags, like album or/and artist/year etc for several tracks in a time? Edited May 5, 2022 by Aller2TeaM
andrewilley
That has been requested in the past, but the consensus was batch editing tasks are more suited to a proper dedicated batch tag editing application, not a music player. Also, that is probably best done on a computer with a larger screen and keyboard/mouse controls, rather than a tiny touchscreen on a phone. TagScanner and MP3Tag are two very competent programs to do this. Andre
quellflynn
so why include the functionality to be able to change tags at all? mass changing of tags inside the program is not a large change to implement and would help hugely.
andrewilley
@quellflynn See my previous reply. There are already excellent batch tag editors out there, and it doesn't necessarily make sense to turn a music player app into a batch tag editor, a file explorer, an audio recorder/editor, an image editor for cover artworks, or a myriad of other somewhat related tasks that already exist within other apps. Maybe Max might choose to add it a some point, but it seems a lot of work just to duplicate something that other more-specific programs already do very well.
