Just got a new phone selected backup on old phone but cant find where its backed up onto? Had a search on sd card but cant seem to find Poweramp backup settings etc? Thanks Mark. Bencherished Posted February 14, 2022 Share Posted February 14, 2022 Feb-14--2022-5-28-45-PM.Poweramp-backup. if you did not change the name when backing up, that is how the name of the backup will look like, I don't know the default location but usually in phone memory. andrewilley Posted February 14, 2022 Share Posted February 14, 2022 The Backup file will be exported to wherever you chose, as selecting a storage folder location is part of the Backup process (after you choose which items you want to include). Try doing it again and you should see where the default location is in the file explorer screen; usually it's at the root level of user-accessible internal memory. marthakerr Posted February 14, 2022 Author Share Posted February 14, 2022 Hi Thanks just backed up again this time selected sd card rather than the phone's memory as it obviously will not be in the new phone mem. Noticed it backs up date and time etc new to all this not had the player long still getting used to it. by naming several letters num etc?Also got error message saying the backup file ios not compatible with old builds I believe I have the latest vers build 925? andrewilley Posted February 14, 2022 Share Posted February 14, 2022 Yes, all it's saying is that if you select the newer features (such as Ratings and Artwork) the backup file will only work with recent versions of Poweramp, it will no longer be backwards-compatible with older (pre build 912) installations of Poweramp. No, just install over the current version. It won't break the link with the Play Store either, so any future updates will still auto-download as before.
